Long time undertale fan here. Been taking a trip down memory lane recently, only now am I just realizing how far the community has come and just how long ago this game released. I was only 10 years old when it hit steam, and that’s just mind boggling to me. I sadly missed out on participating in the community back in its prime(I am an artist and musician I have a lot of stuff to offer for the community) due to how young and immature I was back then, being in my pre to early teens, but I did get to watch this channels earliest stuff and man I still can’t believe sans voice actor is still active to this day! I also got to witness some of the most awesome comic series and AU’s arise and man the nostalgia is real. Back in 2018 I did get to participate in some roleplay and stuff but again I was an immature 12 year old and eventually I stopped hyperfixating on it. Undertale will always hold a special place in my heart, I hope its popularity is revived someday

Man, Undertale is such a great game. My reason for saying this is because it did something not many games do. It TAUGHT me something. I just got Undertale and I finished the pacifist and neutral ending. When I reset I had my heart SET on Genocide. I encountered my first enemy and when I went to the fight button... I turned around and hit act and spared the froggit. A.K.A let Toriel scare it off. I didn’t want to throw the whole point of the game out the window simply because of curiosity. So I finished pacifist run and then never reset again. I love this game so much and it will always hold a special place in the culmination of my being. I mean in some sense you're not wrong, you see with a monster lose its soul (I did study on this) they become emotionless and feel no empathy the reason resorting of that is a monster soul is made up of all different types of traits but equally differentialized which causes the white formation in a monster soul, this results turn into a monster having love compassion and other more for different types of species of its kind and well when you strip all of those traits away and the soul of itself just a living being walking around like a zombie they no longer feel emotion sadness the only feel rage, and flowers case someone not going to name (cough cough) Alphys try to inject flowey with determination in resulting of his ability to reset

The thing nobody gets is that Chara became mentally traumatized after the player killed all those monsters, and eventually thought, "oh, this is what we're doing?" so its all of the players fault, we might be playing as frisk but it was our fault. Also, chara wanted to free all of the monsters and the way to do that is to combine a monster and human soul and get six souls. Everyone assumes "oh, they did that so that ______" but she loved those monsters. If she really hated them why wait until they where a spirit to kill everyone?? It seems kinda stupid if you ask me. They could of just did what you do I nthe genocide run, but they didn't. Everyone is just trying to dump their blame on chara because they cant understand it was all their doing. Like how in some Undertale comics frisk puts all the blame on chara, even when chara is making it very clear that frisk started and did everything. Chara didn't ever take over frisks body, in a sense we did. Only at the end, when everyone is dead, does chara show up and decide to "kill" us. I know this seemed like a long comment and don't say "its just a video game lelelelele" because im very aware. Im just tired of people dumping the blame on chara when it was very much our fault.

Yeah, in that timeline. And then the kid will reset, rip them all away from the surface, and then kill all of them. Again and again, pretending to be a friend, then laugh as they killed you. The monsters basically became playthings for them. At least, in Sans' eyes. He didn't know that a player was controlling Frisk.

It’s possible that the Gaster of Asriel’s timeline is masquerading as this world’s version of Gaster. 🤔 That’s my theory anyway. Sort of like how in Rick and Morty they buried other versions of themselves and took over their lives. Then there’s the “Dark” Soul.... Each soul is colored after a trait. While we could as a joke say it’s the trait of “Humanity” I doubt it. Given my impression of the Ghost kid this far, I think it’s either gonna be Loneliness or Emptiness. Or it could be something like Sociopathy. Yeah, it could be Hatred, but that seems to tie more with the Determination trait Chara and Frisk possess. 🤔 So many questions. I just hope we get a part 2 eventually. Then there’s us. What Chara and Frisk implied at the end was a player pulling the strings. Would be nice to see an entity acting as the player in this timeline. Human, Dimension Hopper, Reality Bender, or otherwise.

sans is determined to find a way to stop frisk from resetting. on the other hand, chara thinks that there's nothing much they can do abt the reset (that's why they took over Frisk's soul instead, possibly to threaten the latter from doing anything rash). both characters are indirectly in a conflict with an even larger puppet master-- the Player.
