I just made these, and they are soooooooo beautiful i'm sure going to make more. I also love your santa earrings, they are so cute, I made many ,all for my little nieces, and they all enjoyed them. I made these mitten in size 6/0 seed beads, in white and silver and also in white and gold. I hanged it as a tree ornament, you should see how cute they are, just try it and you will be very pleased. Just an idea !!! Thanks for all your beautiful tutorials. Mamiexox

How would you make them 50% smaller?

Try using 15/0 seed bead size. They are the next smaller size. And use #12 beading needle.
