Snowkayaking vs snowsurfing

Which is faster on powder snow, a river kayak or a surfboard? We tested in the powder snow in Sogndal

Already done - done with snowboard or "skiivoard" (a platisc board with totally loose feets and a line in the front to gold on to). Fun like hell but easy to get injures - especially with the knees when you use a snowboard.

I work at a skifield and we do that all the time. Most of the time it's just faster to be towed behind a snowmobile on your skis or board than take a lift up and ski back.

@TheSashC His point isn't completely out of context, because, if you look at how snowboading developed, some of the pioneers began with using their modified surf boards as a snowboard.
