Welcome to season eight of Big Bear Weather and More. I now have the most incredible beanies. These are made out of 100% fine Merino wool with a leather patch with the logo for this channel. At Nordstrom's or Macy's you're not gonna pay anything less than 250 for these beanies. I'm able to get everyone hooked up with the best quality on the market for the best price on the market I just want everyone to have a piece of this channel and it would help me out as well.
This is for the winter season 2022/2023. I am so excited for this winter I am expecting a lot of snow. I'm looking forward to all the interactions with all of you and especially looking forward to this upcoming season with my new wife. What a beautiful thing.
I can't thank you enough for all the love and support over the years and I promise you I will continue kicking butt and taking names that what I do. I know my consistency is what makes a lot of you proud to be part of this channel and I couldn't be more proud to have you all in my life. You all take care and any questions you have for me don't hesitate to leave a comment I typically get right back to you.
If you need a great reliabale handyman in Big Bear, please contact Pete Toyne. I vouch for him. A great guy and does great work.

I get mice and rats bad and doesn't work out here with that! Peppermint oil is natural and they hate it! A big jug is like 30 bucks on Amazon. Just spray it all around inside and out and it will help. But once in the house like that, you have to catch it and let loose somewhere. They have some traps that are metal. Where they go in after you bait it and can't go back out. Check the hardware store. I use to crush on Shawn White! I have a thing for fingers. Lol

If you ever get a chance where the lake is frozen over all the way and there isn't a bunch of snow covering it, go down to the edge of the ice and throw a skipping stone across it. That sound it makes is the most incredible sound. I used to love to skip stones on the frozen lake in the winter.

@@bigbearweatherandmore6621 No problem man! I hope that the future brings a lot more snow to that area since I know the drought has been killing some of those valleys... we've also been fairly dry up here in recent summers but maybe now the pattern is finally starting to shift towards more heavy snow nationwide. we currently have about 10" on the ground in my area with another 4-8 on the way tomorrow and possibly even more come next weekend. @@shuvmesumknowlegde hahaha amen to the baddies at home That’s really awesome living in eastern Canada. I’ve been to Canada twice and unfortunately it was only at the airport flying through to Europe. I always wanted to spend a little bit of time in Canada. There’s so much beauty up there. And let me tell you something Robert, our towns I guess might get similar amount of snow, because 5 feet for us is very very very rare. We will get many 1 foot snow storms and a couple 2 feet snowstorms just like you guys every year. , however, I can guarantee one thing you guys feel like a real winter. We get cold for California during our coldest months the average high temperature is right around 40° so as you can imagine a lot of time to get into the upper 20s and low 30s for a high temperature and the single digits and teens for low temperatures. But I can assure you we don’t get the type of cold and bone, chilling, freezing that you guys get. Being too close to the ocean the ocean keeps us a little bit warmer. I know eastern Canada can’t be too far from the ocean either but because the airflow typically goes from west to east, you’re not getting super affected by the Atlantic. The coldest temperature we’ve ever seen was I believe in 1979 or 1980 and it was 20 something degrees below zero and since I’ve lived here the coldest I’ve seen I think was 8° below zero Fahrenheit I’m sure you guys sometimes get that as a high temperature and I’d be willing to bet you get many many many nights Below Zero, but let me know if I’m wrong because I know if you’re too far east sometimes the arctic blast doesn’t hit you. It usually goes down the center of the continent usually But thanks for chatting with me brother Robert I appreciate that my man

@@shuvmesumknowlegde Robert, my brother that’s really nice of you to say that I am so glad that I can bring relaxation into peoples lives. I know sometimes I talk too much but unfortunately that’s just me and believe it or not some of the comments I’ve received over the years are as follows. “ I can’t believe I’m watching some guy drive around a little town that I’ve never heard of while it’s snowing and the guy never shuts up, yet I’m totally enthralled.” Robert, I crap you not I hear that comment a lot lol It’s a real honor to have you here and I really hope you do continue to stick around for a long time and I’m embarrassed that I had to ask you where you live. I should’ve just looked at the picture for your username profile. Have a great evening and a fantastic weekend Robert

For the Big Bear Snow Rule, the interesting thing is the opposite applies in the summer for thunderstorms since they blow in usually from the desert side. We lived just east of those new Maple Hill houses (it was empty lot I'd hike through to go to school every day), and we'd get less snow, but more t-storm rain.

Rick isn’t that incredible how that works I’ve noticed that as well and found it to be remarkable how Baldwin in big bear city will get hit with the thunderstorms first and sometimes harder I really love you guys you guys are so awesome we have so much in common, it means the world to me it really does

7:00 - I dunno, March Mircale in '91 refilled the lake, Baker Pond, and Baldwin Lake! It wasn't quite as low as it was over the last summer, but it was pretty low!

Rick I would love to see it, but the amount of precipitation just doesn’t really add up in terms of how much the lake would gain from it but I’ll tell you what if you saw something like that in the past and I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed because I don’t even think we’re gonna get more than a foot of gain in the lake from the storm but I really hope I am so wrong. We’ve had other storms this season which is produced much more precipitation. It’s just they were mostly rain, which is better for the lake because a lot of the snow will evaporate before it even gets to the lake once it starts melting and before it even starts melting, so I really hope you’re right, my friend I would be very happy

I am very off, I was guessing 1-2 feet maximum. I don't remember my guess, but it was a lot less than like.. 7 Feet in some spots. Also I got about 3 inches of rain here, and saw on the radar there was a lot more heavy weather over there. So maybe more than 3 inches of rain fell there, in snow form?

But due to his fathers recent passing he had no choice but to go back to mexico and with everything going on, cant come back till all the snow is over. In the mean time, living with my mom and my kids and trying to shovel as much as possible.

If the lake doesn't make full capacity this season it's a failure on the part of who controls that water. Take more in than you let out it's pretty simple math. As a community you should fight to keep that water in your reservoir.
