Snowman Season Corner Twist Card & NEW TRIMMER

Hi everyone~
In this video I share how to make a festive Corner Twist Card, an adaptation and simplified version of the fun-fold card I made for the October 2019 Stampin’ Anonymous set of Tutorials. The key for this card is to have an image on the front that will look good if turned 45 degrees. I used the Let it Snow Suite of products for the card I am demonstrating. But I share another version later using the New Wonders host stamp set and Country Floral Embossing Folder.

The cards are great. Thanks for sharing another wonderful idea. I have one comment about the new trimmer, they still didn't make the see-thru ruler numbers dark enough to really see when lining things up. On my last cutter, I added a ruler strip from the graph paper pad and it really helped me a lot when I had to cut slits in a card. Otherwise, it looks like a good investment.

These card tutorials are fabulous, as always Rachel! My 2 cents on the trimmer: in comparison with the old one I really appreciate 3 specific design features: 1. the ridge where you align your paper goes kind of through the whole area. At the old one you could not secure 1 inch paper strips on the top (i.e. to cut away a tiny bit, I always had to tape the smaller pieces down). 2. the paper stays locked in position after you pressed down the cutting flap, makes it more secure to cut straight. 3. the blade system is way better. Thanks to you I prefer to cut 99% of the time upwards. So I mark my upwards side of the blade handle with washi. If I remove it temporarily I always know which direction to reinsert the blade. If it gets dullish I just insert it the other way around, so my washi-marked side would be facing down and replace my washi and mark my dullish side with an x (i.e. metallic sharpie). This way my blade lasts much longer. How do I know this? I already use an slightly different version (not Stampin Up branded) of this trimmer since April. If someone finds it hard to flip out the arm or the transparent cutting flap, just use your nail file to soften those little plastic noses a little bit where it snaps into.

I think the blades are deeper too...I cut through a thicker stack of paper the other day. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Great tip on the blade cutting, too!

I love the fairy card the most. But the thick whisper white card is my favorite snowman card. For me the costal cabanna is a bit to much color for a snowman card in my opinion. I think Snowmen need a white snowy background.
