Its an interesting outcome of the process of painting. What ever troubles you have that day can momentarily be forgotten as painting takes such undivided attention to what you are doing. Your brain switches on and off in a totoally different way. The sadness is not erased, but for that time you can get some relief. Also I believe in my heart that there is no death, but people live on forever. And she will also through the many lives she had such. a positive impact on.

I have not been painting but I have been following your tutorials every Monday and just finished watching the Christmas Special with the little owl honouring Cinnamon for the Hoots Yes, Cinnamon was a great artist with a very big heart. I'm watching now...wished I hadn't missed this I think I fell asleep too early. This time of year is exhausting. Ginger I admire your strength and how you are helping others during such a hard hard time. You are one strong momma! I lost my son 2 June's ago and understand...it's not something moms should go through. I haven't done as well as you are but you give me hope and I'm thinking about painting again, that I learned from you and Cinnamon 💖 She was such a a beautiful person and I'm so very sorry for your loss. yes we do. It called an underpainting. we did a lighth blue on this one with mostly white and a about 2% phthalo blue.

Technical question: what is the difference between pyrrole red and cad red medium?

Cad red medium is an orange red. Pyrrole red in a primary color and heavily pigmented and I replaced Napthol Crimson which is more transparent and need several coats.
