Complete makeover and rehab of my 2003 Triton Tilt Snowmobile Trailer.I refurbished and/or replaced everything except the frame, lights, and axel. It's still not perfect, but for a neglected 16 year old trailer it looks pretty good. The only other addition will be a spray shield - still deciding between purchasing one or building a custom one.

Love the ocd on the plywood. Was thinking about it earlier in the vid and was making me nuts too! My wife thinks I'm crazy picky for some odd reason. Great job and thanks for the vid!

Wow, nice video! I wasn't looking for a restoration more how the wires run through the trailer frame and seeing the deck off helped me understand the structure and how the wires might be routed... THANKS!

Doing the exact same thing on my 2006 Triton XT14-101. I'm even sanding it down and polishing everything! Takes time, but it looks great so far!!

What kind of ski tie downs did you get ? Was there a nut plate built in the trailer frame ? Im a first time owner and bought a tilt dual sled trailer as well they have a steel bar that im assuming slides through the ski handles for better sake of describing but cant see them from bouncing around , i cant see myself trailering my sled to far as i live across the street from a major trail system northern ontario Ca. I bought trailer mostly for storage as my parking is limited and shared a trailer for atv and sled but almost always needed trailer for something else leaving sled on ground and jacked up also resale perks as well thanks for posting im looking for solid tie down options thanks

I would think so. With marine grade you might not need to.

This is a long shot but I have the same trailer and have been looking all over it for a VIN number. Can you point me in the right direction to find it? Thanks.
@loganmarksmedia
@loganmarksmedia 6 ай бұрын
The VIN on these is on a sticker, so once the sticker is gone the trailer is a ghost lol - I was lucky because I have the title so it’s listed there, it’s the only reason I know mine.
@flockshot1967
@flockshot1967 6 ай бұрын
@@loganmarksmedia Thank you. I also read on a forum last night that some have a second sticker with the vin behind one of the tail lights so I will be popping out those today to check it. If I find it, I will be under the trailer with a good permanent marker and putting the vin in at least 6 places.. Thanks again.

Please remember to use safety glasses when using the saw. Be a good role model for your users when it comes to saw safety. Cool trailer !!!

Bud Matto I almost always wear glasses and an RZ mask when I use the table saw. This was one of those quick things and I didn’t put them on - which I know is the worst excuse. Thanks for the reminder, fingers and eyes are more important than saving a few minutes!

Ended up picking up another trailer that was beat up but it had a salt shield, loading light, and a few other things that I snagged off to put on mine. I also have an LED light kit that I need to put on there too!

I was just given the same trailer, but has the aluminum from shield! I am so glad I found this video, while looking to see what the angle bolt sticking up from the front floor was for! You video gave all the great ideas that I am going to use!! But,, the track glides appear to come with their own screws,, but how did you attach the track mat? Does the mat come with its own mounting screws? is it also adhesive in the back? Or did you just use regular screws? what kind? thank you! Great video!

bro check those wheel bearings, replace and or repack with grease. If bad they can leave you sitting along the road and ruin your day.

How did you fasten the new decking down? Did you reuse the fasteners and the treaded holes or use something different?
@loganmarksmedia
@loganmarksmedia 4 жыл бұрын
I used new ones. The brand was Teks and they were just self tapping wood to metal screws. Worked great because I didn't have to pre-drill.

So, no one suggested to you about replacing the tilt bolts on the wish bone that corroded bad over time, since you had it torn down that far?
@loganmarksmedia
@loganmarksmedia 4 жыл бұрын
Steve Andrusko I’m not sure what you mean by wish bone? I did end up pulling the tongue latch assembly apart later. I replaced the bolt and nut so it screwed in and out easier.

Looks great, but why would you go thru all that and not use one drop of Never Seize on your lugs????
@loganmarksmedia
@loganmarksmedia 3 жыл бұрын
I’ve used anti seize on my enclosed trailers lugs and still had them get stuck. I store the sled trailer inside with the sled on it and rotate those wheels back and forth in the winter so they never stay on long enough or are in the elements long enough to worry about.
