the 2021 Old Forge Shoot out (with official timing equipment) had the ski-doo faster (same rider/track) in the 1000 foot drag. I guess if your going farther than that it could be different. They were racing a Polaris 850 INDY VR1 137 vs Ski doo 850 Renegade (137) XRS. Ski doo was faster at all the time points (60', 330', 500' 660' 1000'). At 1000' ski doo best time was 9.24 with a best speed of 100.4 mph. Polaris best time was 9.53 and best speed 93.2 mph. The top speed difference would indicate the Polaris wasn't going to catch up if they raced further. You can google the results to see the details.

The Ski doo also had the lower lug track and taller gearing. Vs Polaris taller lug and lower gearing. Polaris does offer the taller gearing on the lower lug track. Just go on the snowmobile gearing websight and type in RPM's, The Sleds gearing and Drive cog size. Bingo You have your speeds.

I ride a Gade 800 Etec. I don’t care if it’s the fastest. How often are you going 100 anyways. I’m waiting to see what Doo does in the 650 class. Personally I fit better in the Doo and like the ride. I ride with guys that have both Doo and Poo. Ride what you like. If and when I decide to look for a new sled I will try any brand that has a 2 stroke. Brand makes no difference to me, quality does. Just get out and ride, have fun and stay safe.

I'm a Polaris guy.. SKI DOO has 100% way better materials and feels. An little weird things creep up that make you go. Why didn't Polaris do that!

Just upgraded from a 800 tnt to the 850xrs after a day riding bumps that did me right it. The first rip on the xrs blew me away ! Just have to figure out best set up for her. Cant beat up polaris , they are right up there with skidoo but ,,,,,,,,, haha. Cheers. See you all next season.

Polaris has it all over Ski Doo in the ability to customize and variety of colors--I keep looking and thinking how great they look and I used to ride Polaris's and had very good luck with them. I ride a '17 Renegade 850 and fuel economy ranges from 16-20. Amazes me when my buddy on a 600R Enduro gets the same or less mpg's. Eight fifty does use quite a bit more oil. Hopefully Doo will come out with decent color options for next year and I'll order a '24. Not holding my breath after reviewing the last few years colors.

There isn't a snowmobile manufactured that I don't love and wouldn't ride😂😂 But being a mechanic my whole life i would definitely rather have to rebuild the Polaris over the skidoos! Man they remind me of working on BMWs and other European cars!! Sometimes over engineered! And over complicated!!

Ski doo get's Super easy FUEL mpg To make it to the next gas stop EPS in NB. As i can be a long drive up trail 52. One way for me is 97miles from truck parking to the first gas stop.

I've ridden both and the 850 doo is much more responsive both engine and clutching. The 850 pol isn't nearly as responsive, it pulls good up top but low and mid is all doo

They are almost identical. When I ride with a buddy we start both with full tanks. When we stop for fuel we are almost the same at fill up within a few 10's. This was duplicated all year long not just one time. This is done with both of us riding about the same amount of thumb. can't really say on oil both really close but seems his doo uses a touch more but never really confirmed that.

In what universe does the cars have more adjustments for the suspension? Skidoo took away rebound adjustment and hasn’t had high speed compression adjustment in years. The XCR offers high and low speed as well as rebound. Yes you can move the Rmotion x rails to one of 2 positions. But I don’t see that justifying the statement.

The regular xcr doesn't have rebound in the rear and on the pro cc we only have 3 rear spring adjustments...The only velocity shocks with rebound are on that 600 factory race sled you can see one on That Alaska guy, or on wenninger 227? He's a cross country racer not sure if I have # right 😂😂 those sleds have some cool stuff 👍👍

I have a 2020 137 850 my buddy has a renegade 850 not the xrs and to be honest you can't go wrong with either machine they are both rockets his is a little faster top end but not as easy to ride in the woods pulls flipping hard right at engagement mine pulls nice and easy until about 6100 RPMs then she grabs hard better be holding on. In either sled😁

Hey did you get the 2021 flash from the dealer yet? I have your same sled and I finally got out 2 days ago and my lower rpm power 5500 and up to the hit is vastly improved!! It doesn't have that flat feeling throttle response before you get into the power at 8000 it was like not enough power to too much power 😂on the trail with that 2020 flash,if you haven't done it yet do it! my dealer did it while I waited outside!! Who is a amateur ? If you don't know how to ride a snowmobile with 850 then you are amateur, but if you ride a snowmobile that has a 600 then you are not amateur and should not buy 850 instead buy a 600? This like saying that I'm not aloud to buy an snowmobile with 850 because because I'm not amateur ? Since I never had a mustang I need to be amateur to buy one ? You need to stop this stupid logic and you are hurting the sport! I don't see this said anywhere but in snowmobile press coverage. I've said this before the track is just as important as the 850 engines if you can't get hp on to the snow it don't matter what 850 you got ! Polaris has come a long way from that poor 900 to compete with the 1000 ski-doo. I'd imagine polaris riders don't want to be reminded of that. Lol
