Snowmobiling in a Winter Storm | Grand Lake, Colorado

Snowmobiling west of Rocky Mountain National Park near Grand Lake, Colorado on January 27, 2023 with my daughter, my brother, and sister in law. Normally the trails are groomed, but on this day there is a Winter Storm Warning and it had been snowing all night. This made the conditions a bit more challenging.
We rented Ski-Doo Grand Touring Sport 600 ACE snowmobiles from On The Trail Rentals located northwest of Grand Lake. These were comfortable for 2 people and have heated grips were very nice on this 15 degree day. They also provide a one piece insulated snowmobile suit, insulated snow boots, helmet, and a tank of fuel. The clothing kept us all warm, but you do need to bring your own gloves and goggles. I wore my own helmet so I could use a GoPro mount on top.

Thanks Mike and Chelsea! They are fun to ride, I didn't know the GoPro camera was recording while we were stuck, so it was a nice surprise to see it after we got home. Cheers!

That's awesome. We did snow mobiling for the first time a view years ago in NH and loved it! Your fingers must have froze flying the drone in the snow lol

Thanks! NH sounds like a great place to snowmobile. I grew up in Wisconsin so it's kind of odd this was my first time riding one. Short drone flight and the snowmobile had very warm heated grips, really helps on such a cold day.
