So do you just put the loader arms in float and let the plows runners keep the blade from digging in?

@@cdarting91 I set the loader arms at a proper height, not using the float mode. I do small adjustments while driving. Typically I only use the runners in the beginning of the season to avoid pushing to much gravel into the ditch.
