Thanks man I was a bit hesitant about this video as I wasn’t sure if it would just look like I’m riding the popularity of tips videos but they’re the sort of things that you don’t really think of until you’re almost done and messing around and wish you knew 150 missions ago lol! Yeah a boost truck at the back is probably my favourite tip from this vid, I love driving all the vehicles and now I still can without the extra effort shall we say that some of them require! Great video just will towing 2 vehicles I normally tow a scout vehicle behind my truck to a map without a garage so don’t drive to the map twice you can always have a fuel trailer on the scout so you don’t run out of fuel

Tip for making money sell all trailers on maps once you finished all the missions. Made about 200000 on Michigan maps

I did that too and i also don't buy a lot of trucks i only have about 7 trucks that do the job better than the rest so don't need that many and i've got nearly 2 mill only lvl 24 and not done a lot of content yet.

Also I prefer to use the off road gearbox on trucks that are already slow, like if it’s not fast anyway might as well use the off road box so you can get through deep snow and mud with less wheelspin.

You can also use a 4 slot trailer and sideboard or flatbed on the truck (you kind of mentioned it when you said you used the ANK and a 4 slot) to deliver 6 pieces of cargo

The best tip is to play Snowrunner/mudrunner in 1st person, cab view. I've just launched a channel on KZbin as 3r peron is naff. I've driven many vehicles off road, including ex Soviet trucks.. Snowrunner in 1st person is close to the real thing. Plus in 1st person i very rarely get stuck anywhere. Snowrunner-Prorunner

For anyone struggling to get that Darry Longhorn on the road here is 2 very useful tips. Repair it first so it can help push itself. There is a service trailer slightly south of its location in a warehouse i think it was. I could be wrong but it is definatly there in a building complex almost hidden at the back. If u still are struggling or just dont wanna bother with the trailer then instead of pulling it up this very big angle pull it down the river, after approximate 150m the river curvs to the left and u can pull it back up to the road in a mutch easier angle on the right side. I did this with the white western star without repairing with little trouble. The big rocks in the river was abit tricky as the Longhorn dident really wanna climb over them but other then that it was a piece of cake.

Yeah I agree dude 👍🏻 I did the river in the end! It’s just I’ve had a lot of people say they can’t get it up the hill etc but want to do it the hard stubborn way lol so I was just throwing that in as another! I took it down the river myself too, and in my Derry video after showing some trucks that could pull it up, I just said here’s the river, it’s the best way and takes minutes basically lol 👍🏻

You comment that the Tayga can't use a 5th wheel with crane. That's actually incorrect as long as you don't have the spare tire. With a crane and no spare tire, there's clearance for any trailer that uses the low saddle. (it's pretty tight on the semi fuel tanker) It can't use a flatbed with crane and the high saddle sits further forward so I don't think you can use a crane with that. Great tip about the tandem trucks though. I usually only tow on rescues. Also, on the Derry Longhorn rescue, it's much easier to just drag it along the stream for a bit and drag it out where the road it closer to the water.

I’m making a tayga video so I’ll mention it in the gameplay and review video that I was wrong and I’ll show the combos it can handle 👍🏻! Yeah I tried to have a crane and flatbed for that cargo run vid but it wouldn’t let me either! Didn’t know about the 5th wheel and crane as long as no spare tyre though so thanks! Lol no problem dude I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner! Tips like that have been staring us in the face and I wish I bloody knew about it 200 hours ago lol! I’m the same I only ever fetch another truck after it’s gone wrong! This would have saved me hours and hours across the game! As for the Derry I completely agree, I just chucked that one in there as some people have said they stubbornly want to get the Derry out the hard way up the hill lol so I figured that’s one more possible way but yeah I did it the river way in the end and on my Derry vid that’s what I say near the end lol much easier 👍🏻!

I use tandem semi trailers quite often, that's usually 10 slots in 2 trucks. It comes in handy as both trucks may need stuff from the same warehouse, then go on their different ways. Or drive a semi, towing a truck with van body+fuel tanker trailer and get your self a nice fuel station on an strategic point. Btw, best way to get the Derry is following the stream of water until you reach the shore on the right.

If you’re towing a second vehicle behind you could also tow a scout pulling the scout fuel trailer for the more endurance missions

Yeah definitely dude 👍🏻! You can do all kinds of combos, you could even winch a truck that’s towing a big maintenance trailer too so you have fuel and repairs! Admittedly your scout with scout fuel trailer would barely be noticeable towing behind so not a bad idea 👍🏻 Or for cargo moving options you could even get a flat bed that can hold 2 cargo, towing a 4 slot trailer, which is winched to another flat bed that’s towing a 4 slot trailer meaning you could transport up to 12 cargo in one long road train 👍🏻! Just remove the roof racks off scouts as it makes them too slow, it’s broken, I’ve got a video on it from a day or so ago that’ll explain what you need to know if you want more details, otherwise just take my word for it lol because I promise I’m not lying 👍🏻! The hummer and ck in particular are very broken with the roof rack on!

Dmb25108 haha yeah them Hummers’ don’t respond well to short flights 👍🏻! The first is still in the cliff and the second last time I checked was still up in the air lol! I’ll keep an eye on them! I bloody love that Kahn Loaf! The amount of times it miraculously flips over and keeps going and saves me having to recover other trucks from the bottom of the cliff etc, it’s a beast lol! Well underrated! Even just after the music bit, I accidentally edited it but you even see it start it’s engine on its roof and it did roll back over that time too 👍🏻 horse of a vehicle lol!

Also, apparently, to repair a truck from a service trailer you need to access that trailer by actually connecting it to a truck...so if you can't attach a trailer, you can't repair from it. Found out in Drummond Island, I wanted to repair the Tatarin from the service trailer found on the side of the road, but I couldn't until I used the P16 to attach to it.

I know everyone likes the tayga 6436 but I think once you load it with any type of cargo whether it's on a detachable trailer or on a bed box. It becomes a gutless wonder. I do use it for a tag truck. So I keep it in an area just in case I either need a pull or a flip over. Because empty when going through mud. It is like what was that? But that's my opinion. Yeah that’s interesting dude, I’ve not noticed myself but to be honest that’s what I love about this game and the way they’ve balanced the trucks! Some are clearly better than others but there’s no 1 outright winner, it comes down to play style and upgrades and tyres and even patience levels lol when I’m just on the game I’ll patiently recover anything! 6 hours in and I roll 2 ft from another truck and it’s like really game I haven’t got time for this shit lol! But yeah no one is right or wrong it’s just the feel each truck gives a person! Personally I really like the Tayga! But I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite! I like the odd stuff like the twin steer and the Loaf and ahhh that loadstar is lots of fun too! But I haven’t got loads of experience in the Tayga and can say it does great with heavy cargo! I’m sure I’ve done some with it but between videos and testing I’ve tried all sorts of trucks all over the place but not really used 1 for days and all different scenarios back to back or anything! I can say it’s fast with a cargo container lol and it did walk the white western up that hill in this video like it wasn’t even there! As you say mud it loves! Nothing wrong with opinions dude it sounds like a reasonable one 👍🏻! You too man

Hey dude, I've just unlocked the ANK and just attempted the longhorn mission. Even with my ANK tricked out with the best engine, the derry aint moving ! I'll give it a reset and try again. I was fairly convinced the ANK would walk it too. Might have to wait for the Tayga if I can't get her to budge ;)

Ragged Gray hey dude! Do you know what that Derry Longhorn is a troll! That’s why I mentioned in later vids they don’t always start their engine and help you winch! Basically I bet that’s what it’s doing to you! It did it to me with the Navistar and I went and got the CAT but then when I towed it with the cat I did start it’s engine?? Sorry I didn’t realise this before the vid went up and I mentioned it in that video but not as clearly as I’d like! Basically dude if you try again you can take the ANK but also bring another vehicle, and when you winch the Derry with the ank, check the Derry is starting it’s engine and helping! If it isn’t just try with the other vehicle for a mo and at some point it should actually help push! Of course if it’s driving you mad though then this dude below is correct, you could just tow it forwards down the river like I did at the end of the vid! But I get that a lot of people (me included) want to beat the game lol so didn’t want to do that if I could help it! Hope this helps anyway 👍🏻

Ragged Gray yeah had it started it’s engine for me I think I’d have got it out with the Navistar, about an hour and a CAT sooner lol! I genuinely don’t know what makes it start! Pressing triangle to pull the winch in after you attach it seems to help but still not guaranteed? But without knowing when I switched to the cat, for some reason it just started up? So I can’t say 100% that switching trucks will guarantee do it but it’s technically what I did and it’s the best I’ve got lol! I hope it helps dude but if not honestly just drag it down the river and up the slope further down that’s a lot easier anyway! Some people (me included) wanted to beat it the hill way hence the tips but I gave in and did the river with the CAT originally, I came back later and restaged it to beat it and get it up the hill lol!

So....I went and fetched my scout, filled her up and she still didn't startup. Definitley a bug with the engine starting on this thing. Also, I'm on PC , not PS4 so it's not just unique to consoles....

I've not been taking more than one vehicle at a time either, though I'm only level 13, so I've not actually done that many missions where I need to transport cargo, but I might use it in future. I didn't think to stack more on the trailers though, that's definitely a handy tip!

Yeah I never once did either! I ended up having too once I got stuck or rolled etc but never pre planned it to save time in the long run! Staring me right in the face the whole time lol! Yeah that can get you out of a long painful drive back to get another trailer or truck etc! It’s pretty stable on the back even on bumps, certainly enough to wing it for a mission 👍🏻

Derry Longhorn. Pulling it up the slope is just making things difficult for yourself. Look around at the scenery for an easy solution that most weak-ish trucks can accomplish

To be honest dude I completely agree that the hill is the hardest option over just dragging it down the river and up a much easier slope there! But I wanted to beat the games challenge and others have said the same that they don’t want to give up trying that way so I was just throwing it in as another possible way that might help 👍🏻! Thanks for the advice though I agree if people don’t care how they get it then the river is the best option I reckon!

Also thought of another one today, which is that the "Firewatch" resupply (or whatever) contest in the russian quarry area is a reeaaally fast way to earn xp, just get the Tatarin and use it to absolutely destroy the fuel trailer on the way to the contest finish point lmao. I basicaly get like 420XP every 3 minutes that way, and I'mma keep going until I get enough XP for the Azov Heavy cuz that thing is getting me hard just teasing me in the shop. Swear to god, every other way to get XP is so bad in this game. Like freaking 50 XP for reaching a damn tower at the other end of the map, but 400 for towing a tiny trailer up a hill...like what? Then there are missions that require you to haul upwards of 5 cargo slots around the whole map that give you like 400 in the early maps...The progression makes 0 sense man.

But knowing what I know now some repeat contests would soon solve that

nevermind man..just unlocked the CAT and Antarctic...they are both massive disappointments that can barely fill the role of a heavy while greatly struggling, the 6000 series Azov is still the very best no doubt

EightSeven6 oh yeah that thing, yeah I drove it and I really didn’t like it at all! It wasn’t that fast, the steering felt too jerky etc for articulated steering (I’m sure with a few minutes I’d get used to it but I still wouldn’t like it), and yeah I don’t think there’s much point to it, right now at least! If it had more speed and normal steering I reckon I’d like it! I definitely prefer the CAT although that’s not the most useful of vehicles really! I did scout the whole of white valley with the CAT but there was easier options lol! Still the cat for free has its uses, it can pull just about any truck and cargo out of any situation, I used it to get that Derry in the end too! But apart from that it sits in my garage most of the time! It’s the lack of speed I don’t like! As for that big red Azov which is the one I think you’re talking about, I’ve tried it and I didn’t dislike it, but I was doing that container thing and testing fast trucks and all those big trucks only have the advanced special gearboxes, no highrange so it’s relatively slow compared to the Tayga etc! And I’m a sucker for speed on this game and any game lol! But again I thought it was fine and I’d buy it if I had the spare cash! But I prefer that smaller Azov 8 wheeler as it’s way faster and still extremely capable! I’m sure that big Azov could pull more weight easier etc though! I’m the same with the TUZ 420, brilliant vehicle and yet I rarely use it because of the lack of speed! When mods come to console I’m hoping/assuming people will mod them with highrange gear boxes and even faster boxes than that! Then I’ll definitely use them more! I don’t need them to be broken and OP, just faster lol! I’d even trade durability and fuel etc for the speed increase!

@@itsmrlonewolf true I would use trucks like the Tayga more too, if they didn't burn so much fuel, I like going out for long periods of time and doing multiple quests at one (i.e. bringing stuff from the warehouse to the sawmill, then from the sawmill to the farm, then from the farm to the warehouse etc, basicaly I like daisy chaining my missions), which I can't do with gaz-guzzler trucks unless I haul out a huge fuel tanker...or a small scout one which honestly doesn't feel right winching it all the way, so I just stuck to the Azov, the slow and steady monster. But I gotta say, if that thing had more top speed, I wouldn't even consider using something else, it would be op imo. Like right now I MIGHT consider using the Tayga in some very rare cases

Yeah to be honest dude I was just assuming there that I’d be using much more as I’m doing the most pulling, and I’m sure this has been the case for me before but still I’ll give it a quick test later and let you know, depends on each trucks fuel drinking rate and all sorts but I think generally it’ll have more than the lead truck after a while 👍🏻

Taking a second truck with you is brilliant, I wish I'd thought of that. So helpful and efficient not to have to do a drive twice, and to have a potential recovery vehicle along with you. Particularly useful if you're going to be on a map without a garage. I'm using that now as I'm in clean up mode, going round the maps recovering all the abandoned trailers and selling them. I realized early that all stuff you buy can be sold at 100% cost which is very nice, but as you point out, sell any extras before selling a truck you don't want or you have cash tied up in spare engines, gearboxes etc. that you can no longer access.

I put a highway suspension or whatever it's called on the fleetstar in Russia randomly and it just flew across the map I couldn't even control it properly without braking. Idk if it was changed but I was incredibly fast for me

@@itsmrlonewolf Glitch? How? WTF?. From Smithville dam go through to Island lake leave that vehicle there. Go back Smithville dam garage and enter garage, then exit to main menu. Go back into the game, go back the vehicle you left behind earlier, recover, retain, return to main menu. Return to the game go to Smithville dam there is a chance that vehicle is still there. Works best when signed in to co-op.

Is there a way to access unobtainable trailers. Had a trailer that glitched (flew away!) and now it’s stuck in the middle of the river in smithville dam! Tried getting it out using a heavy crane but was unreachable. It’s annoying as all of the map is complete, and now there’s a stupid trailer in the middle of the map. Wondering whether anyone else has had this issue or whether it’s just me.

Hmmmm, how far in the river is it dude? Is it completely unreachable or not far off? Do you have a western star twin steer? They can swim in water (as long as it’s not crazy deep, see top gear truck darts vid for details and just skip to the twin steer about 3-4 mins in or so, it’s the 6th dart anyway) so you could possibly swim far enough out with the twin steer to at least winch the trailer closer and obviously I don’t know the exact situation but you might be able to drive out or just keep winching it closer and recovering and going back, until it’s close enough to grab with a crane! The Dan is pretty long and can go very deep (lol) before drowning so you could try reversing that towards it to reach? See how you go with those and let me know if you have any luck dude 👍🏻

Sunil S P yeah that’s the one dude, the engine is called the IMZ-6 210! 3rd down the list! That’s cool you’ve got it, it’s not a bad truck, it doesn’t like heavy cargo up steep hills too much but it’s a reliable truck that doesn’t tip too easily 👍🏻! Enjoy man

@@itsmrlonewolf Yeah sorry about that, not very descriptive lol. At 4:46 the tires on the Tayga, ive seen on other trucks but I can't find them. Are they mods or only on the Tayga?

TheWolverine1333 haha it’s all good dude 👍🏻! I believe they’re custom tyres only for the Tayga, it’s not a mod though, they’re in the base game, but you can’t get them on any other trucks I believe (not that I’ve found so far anyway)! If you scroll down to the last set of mud tyres for this truck you should find them! There’s also a smaller set of the same ones if you haven’t got the raised suspension yet 👍🏻! They are honestly brilliant tyres! They seem heavy so they make the weight and centre of gravity really low in this truck so it’s hard to tip, and they’re wider too so again it makes the base wider and less easy to tip! This truck with these tyres is ridiculously good!

If you’re towing a second vehicle behind you could also tow a scout pulling the scout fuel trailer for the more endurance missions
