The loading crane and flatbed are compatible with each other, it just pushes the flatbed back on the frame a little more

It also significantly affects the performance of vehicles so shouldn't be taken unless you are sure you will need it. If you think you might tip, you can just connect your winch to the side of your truck and to something opposite the drop, basically preventing you from rolling and losing cargo.

It prevents quite a few trucks from coupling trailers though. From the trucks I have available so far only the Fleetstart, Paystar and the Freightliner 114SD can have a bed + crane and still couple trailers.

I vote that you explore Michigan completely and unlock all the watch towers, rank up, unlock some upgrades then upgrade your offroad truck and then explore Alaska. I'm in love with this series Scott keep em coming ❤❤❤

these are the best videos I've watched while in quarantine .... The contain everything: chill moments, offroad trucks, stunning views, action packed moments (when you almost get stuck, or there is not enough fuel left and the road is extremely difficult )... I watched one other youtuber playing this and realized that you are a much better driver than your walkthrough shows. This other guy was mangling his truck on every little thing. So you definitely have a deft touch on that accelerator! Didn't think I'd like this game but I'm starting to warm up to it!

You can do things in order , 100% Michigan and then Alaska . And the longer you wait , the more exited you get to see the snow .

You should sell the modifications you arent using on your vehicles (when you buy new parts you keep the old ones). Also, the cabin protector just moves your utility 3ft back, so you do lose clearance at the rear of your vehicle and in some cases make trailers a nightmare to pull. Its only worth it if you use a saddle since the beds have their own "protection".

Go to Alaska north port and near the factory there is a Royal BM17 That you can find and it’s an awesome off-road truck that costs $122,000

I did it with the Royal BM 12 and it took me 1 hr and I tipped the trailer by mistake and then afterwards it took me another 40 mins to get it through eventually with the help of my humvee

You can equip the flatbed and loading crane at the same time. I’d also recommend using the sideboard bed instead of the flatbed as cargo is less likely to slide off when at an angle.

The 5070 is definitely the go to better truck in early game and I wish I'd realised that sooner. the thing is a locomotive, it just keeps going, far less use of the winch in difficult spots. The downside is that it chews through fuel like a F14 on reheat and very prone to tipping over. First rage quit of the game after the third attempt to pick up those drilling part crates on the north east of the map and it ended up on its side. Cue recover and the 15 minute trek back out there again. left that mission for now until I get the electric winch, so I can pull myself back upright!

Go to Alaska there's an off-road truck there for free just discover and recover you have to clear boulders and a bridge before tho but well worth it
