Its weird how fuel addons crush the suspension of anything but doesn't show that it affects the power to weight, but things like maintenance addons and stuff will show the change in power to weight

Yeah that’s true! There’s definitely something not right with that fuel add on! I know the fuel trailer is also on its own rear axles, but that smaller fuel trailer that’s towable feels way more weighted than the fuel semi trailer! They need to tone that one down as I don’t think many people use it lol!

I think a good thing to note is the transtar has great fuel economy. Also, you’ve got to do a snowrunner olympics. Great opportunity since the olympics got cancelled! great vid 👍🏻

Yeah that’s true I didn’t really think about or notice fuel, but that’s kinda the point I guess that if and when I don’t notice it, it must be good for that lol 👍🏻! Haha yeah I’ve got all kinds of head to heads and all sorts I want to try and I guess some kind of truck olympics encompasses a lot of what I want to try lol 👍🏻

It's hard to find day cabs transstars here in the states. Mostly sleepers. And I do see quite a few of them with cat motors done Cummins and some Detroit engines. But mostly were sold with cat motors. And the fun fact the sleeper transstars were two days cabs welded together at the factory to make it happen wanna get one. One day I will since am trucker. And those trucks are very good workhorses esicappally with the cat motors and a 13 spd Eaton fuller standard transmission.

Yeah they look a bit old skool and I think cabovers kind of died off in the states when they relaxed the overall allowed truck length or something wasn’t it? I think this truck looks pretty cool! And i have no doubt that in real life they’re a decent truck! Lol that’s cool they used to weld 2 together! Good thinking lol! That’s cool man my brother is a trucker too! Yeah good for you dude keep at it and you’ll have one one day 👍🏻! Some trucks in this game have had things like weight characteristics changed to balance or hinder them etc in this game, and this truck I don’t think has a very realistic weight balance etc in this, not that I think or really expected it to do well in the tests as it’s a highway truck, but I still think this could be given some love in the game and given some diffs or something!

I've done a few missions in it just because I could. It works fine for what it does if you find an excuse for it and want a little extra challenge or are in a mood. I actually did some ice maps (Mountain River IIRC) that were long deliveries off of main roads and it did fine. And actually it wasn't even until I got a wild hair and tried to haul down a road I had no business being on that I even had to use my winch.

Yeah exactly for what it is and what it tells you it is in the game, I wasn’t expecting miracles, and I’ve done the same as you, found excuses to use it here and there and I’ve had a lot of fun with it and it’s been fine! I may have come across a bit hard on it which I wasn’t trying to, I was just trying to compare it to everything else that’s available and kind of trying to put across that it is one of those trucks where you need to find the right excuse! But using the Jeff special and flying down roads I do take it for a lap every now and then lol! Personally I think it needs diffs or AWD! And they seem to make trucks weight a key balancing tool in this game, and I think this is overly light so it can’t always use all its power! If they added some more weight it would help a bit since it’s got the power to handle it! I do think it’s the “worst” of the 3 highway trucks, but not by much, and I don’t think it’s bad, but the higher ground clearance alone on the other 2 helps them! I was surprised how low this thing actually sat when I lined it up to the others

Yeah I like how the devs of snowrunner put in real world weight physics. Case in point a truck drives like crap till some cargo gets put behind it. Then it's a bull pulling cart and won't stop for anything.

President, this is gonna be interesting to see how the 🐺 handles the TranStar. I've personally never driven it or the Ford CLT so I'm looking forward to see if you can squeeze any use outta this "beast". 🐺 gang 🍞 squad 🤘

Yeah I was curious how this would handle the course! And to be honest I was a little disappointed lol, but I don’t really know what else I was expecting either! But I’d say the Ford did better overall, this thing needs at least diffs but preferably awd, and even better, both! It does have its uses and fun on the roads and doing the Jeff special but yeah it’s just not an off road hauler in the slightest lol!

The ford clt9000 is champ in Alaska bad thing is no awd but offer lifted suspension. So hopefully the snowrunner dev follow up with an awd on clt9000 next. Just like with the other highway trucks. The GMC mh9500 and part 2 of phase 1 awd in western star twinsteer.

Ct680 cat is really good for Jeff special. It’s really controlled. Make transtar pink for extra horsepower and to support cancer people.

This truck definitely does better when you have some weight on the back end, but you don’t want to go through mud. I used this a little bit in my gameplay, and found it to be surprisingly good on anything but mud as long as it had some weight on the back. It seemed to take less damage from pebbles in the road then the Ford CLT. I was on a road trip this last weekend and saw one of these on the side of the road for sale, I didn’t buy it, but I’m not gonna say I didn’t want to. It doesn’t have a whole lot of use in the game, but I still have it because I just love the thing.

It is weird this truck can do some off-roading surprisingly. It is much better than the Ford or GMC in my opinion

Yeah there was a few places it could but not many, and there’s definitely most trucks that can do more off roading! But to be fair it’s not an off road truck, it says highway, and it’s priced as such! Personally I think it’s the “worst” of the 3 highway trucks, but that doesn’t mean I dislike it! I’d say the GMC is just objectively better now it has AWD too, and between the Ford and this, the Ford has more weight to it, so it can plant itself into the ground better and get more grip! One of the things making this struggle off road is because it doesn’t weigh much at all! It seemed to do better with cargo than without! But still would get beaten by most trucks off road! I still like it though and do drive it fairly often for a quick lap of a map or doing the Jeff special down the runway lol 👍🏻! If they showed it some love and gave it diffs or AWD, it would be nice though

Haha you know what to be honest I agree and when I heard back what I said, I thought the same that I think it’s helped sometimes! As does just tapping L1 sometimes, even if you’re in high and it’s not changing gears, it’s like it drops the clutch for a split second, but then doesn’t do it every time, it’s like it only works once and then you have to wait a minute or so lol? Haha yeah I can’t wait for that map and the upgrades to be released 👍🏻! Oh has it lol, I really like lake Kovd overall and I’ll soon be covering the next map in Loafs and dolphins and anything else I need lol! I’ll make sure Mickey Mouse has a good time lol!

Thanks though dude, the twin steer isn’t bad at getting over there, but I’d say the Voron grad is the best for crossing that bit to the island, and the fleetstar actually did better than I thought across there too

Yeah true lol although the twin steer can definitely brute force it’s way through some off road bits! This thing doesn’t like off road at all really lol! But it’s a highway truck so I wasn’t expecting miracles! And it’s not priced like a twin steer so yeah I don’t hate it lol, just not the most usable, but it has its fun moments and does a good Jeff special lol 👍🏻

Don 71 will do Jeff special on ice. It’s fun kinda feels like Kahn Marshall but better in some ways but also worse with roof rack. I think after the ck1500 you should take a look into the don.

Haha yeah I definitely agree on that, it’s great for the Jeff special 👍🏻! I still do like this truck and go for a lap of the roads quite often with it, sadly though it doesn’t do well off roading and I think the game needs to show it some love and either add diffs, AWD, or even just up its weight a bit so it can plant itself into the ground a bit better and use the power it has more! But yeah on roads doing the Jeff special it is a nice truck no doubt 👍🏻

To what degree was this video a pain to make as it was to watch? This truck is BRUTALLY overmatched for the terrain of this game. Great truck in real life, but definitely the worst truck in this game. Regardless, watched the entire thing! LOL Love the vids, brotha! Looking forward to the next one!

Haha i admit it was a bit of an effort trying to get the footage and edit it into something that’s not a disaster lol! I almost abandoned it but figured either way it’s a review so I may as well just show what it does and go from there! Long story short it doesn’t like off roading at all! Which isn’t great in an off roading game lol! However it is pretty nice on the roads and tows trailers well and has good power etc! But without diffs or AWD it doesn’t stand a chance! It also doesn’t weigh enough to push itself into the terrain much! Yeah I bet in real life it’s a good truck! In its defence it says in its description that don’t take it off road lol, but on road it’ll do the job and it’s not lying! I’d definitely agree it’s on of the objectively worst trucks in the game scale! But I’m not sure I’d say it’s the outright worst, well it depends which way you define it! Like I’d argue the Derry 4520 is terrible because it costs almost £200k, and can’t even get up the first quarry hill, and is slow everywhere, and stalls out of high range loads, on or off road lol! But the Derry would beat this truck off road, and off road is a lot of the game! But this thing blows the Derry out the water on roads and dirt roads etc! Either way, it’s not one you need to run out and buy lol! It has its moments, can be a fun cheap toy to mess around with doing the Jeff special, or recovering trailers from roads, but that’s about it lol! I know that doesn't really match what you do with your videos but I think you should be getting some type of money for what you do! If you fancy it you can use a site called teespring and you design shirts they tell you how much it costs to make them so let's say it's $12 to have them make it and you sell them for $20 you get $8 profit! They are awesome because you only design the shirt and post a link then teespring prints and ships it for you.

Oh really? That sucks! Yeah I have to say the game that got released was very good and polished and bug free for me, but as the months and updates have gone on, bugs have crept in that they just don’t fix fast enough! It seems that different people have different bugs though, even on the same systems! I’ve heard of much worse bugs than I’ve ever had, and others saying they’ve been basically bug free? I hope they start fixing some of these things soon!

Well the chains aren't the best on ps4 sir. I run the truck with uod 2 or 3 depending upon where ill be. Alaska tho gets chains.

Yeah I don’t necessarily think that the chained are the outright best, I use them for a few reasons, 1, in the reviews it keeps the tyres fairly even between trucks and puts the focus back on the truck to see what it can do with those tyres, to try and keep it as more of a truck review than a tyre review, as so many people have their own favourites, but to try and keep that part as standard as I can! But I’ve also done testing with the tyres and on the container contest on drowned lands, I got consistently better times with the chained tyres over muds, and that’s on a muddy map! Again I’m not saying they’re outright the best, but mods have a tendency to wade through mud and it slows them down, the chained bit down better and cut through the sloppy mud quicker which meant I dropped out of high range less, and I think muds are too punished when it comes to “slippery” surfaces and I say slippery like that because some dry rocks in Michigan shouldn’t really be that slippy but muds act like they’re icy rocks too! Basically I’ve never not made it to a place with chained, that I could do with muds, and I’ve got to places with chained that muds can’t! Muds have their specific places they do better, but overall I’ve never had an issue with chained and they never let me down

For example. Loadstar and f750 will almost get most of the game done. Yes ford lacks torque but loadstar doesn't. They both carry parts and/or fuel. Its the perfect combination of scouts.

It appears that the snorkel is attached to the exhaust so maybe upgrading/downgrading exhaust would be the deal..

this certainly needs to be the starting game truck, not the GMC)) just for hardcore and why the fuck not? Transtar looks a downgrade compared to GMC, in all but engine power, and they even weight the same.
