It seems like these snowskates would be funner with more of an edge so they didn't slip and slid so much laterally. Maybe a little bit of an angle iron edge that goes down into the snow.

I have a sunrise 35, can i put a bigger sub deck on it?

They are but they're more like double Blacks on a snowskate. Greens are Blues and Blues are Blacks

People have been using everything from hiking boots, waterproof shoes, skate shoes with plastic bags, or snowboard boots. Whatever feels best for you

i would recommend some mountain boots. something with heavy tread cuz you will get ice an snow all up in it so try to get something with as much traction as possible. also try to get some high tops cuz noone like cold ankles. and it will help with adding a little support so you have less possibility of rolling your ankle. plus hiking boots tend to be a bit warmer and water resistant than your average skate shoe

Winter boots, Hiking boots, Snowboard Boots, Skate shoes, etc... Whatever will keep your feet dry and give you grip when walking in snow

I don't understand this concept at all. Everything you guys are doing you can do on a snowboard. Its just an elevated snowboard. Adding a leash defeats the purpose. You can't kickflip it if its tied to your butt. I could take a bunch of surfboard traction pads then tape them down to a snowboard without bindings and have exactly what you guys have created.

With that approach you wouldn't have the leverage required to initiate a turn (your bindings on your snowboard give you that leverage and the elevation from the trucks give you that on a snowskate). You are essentially talking about a pow surfer (which we make as well). In deep snow your idea would work (check out the Noboard pad) but on groomers you wouldn't be able to turn. The leash prevents you having to walk back to the bottom when you fall and ensures your board doesn't endanger any other mountain users. #freeyourfeetfreeyourmind

you can kickflip with a leash and its not like a snowboard man try it youll see youll probably enjoy it more if you like a good challenge
