I think they need to make the babies faster, babies can run as fast as their parents after a few days. When you graze being able to walk would be nice, but when you graze + walk the walking speed needs to be much slower.

I know most baby animals can usually run after a few min to an hour after being born but not sure if they are as fast as their parents maybe something for me to google later but yeah grazing and walking would be nice for sure slower walking but would be a nice touch I think.

They really need ai for this game. Imagine just seeing massive herds of wildebeast stampeding the plains like in real life. Maybe they could even add ai parents for when you spawn in as a baby

It does actually snow in Africa! Not in all places, ofcourse, but places such as Sutherland, Lesotho, etc. Sometimes when it's cold enough there's even a few flakes of snow in the Karoo down in the valleys 😄

Being a herbi is fun, except if you don’t have a pack consider yourself a goner. You can’t outrun anything attacking you, and it’s always 3-5 loins in a pack…..i don’t get how that’s fun for us herbivores

We tbh I get enjoyment from being the hunter as well as being hunted it might just be the adrenaline rush of it all and not knowing when it will happen.

I really love this game. Never played it yet. But I love animals and this is an amazing balance of fun and realism. I def hope they add more biomes, animals and interactivity such as burrows/dens/nests, carrying/stashing food, scent marking/claw/ground scuffing with colored text to signify whether or not it's a message, individual claim or clan/herd claim but it wont block players from crossing through territories. I hope they add more AI to interact with too. Awesome game I intend to play. Thank you.

Hey, no problem and yeah the dev team for this game comes out with new updates so often for the game I have a hard time keeping track but they are good people and I am sure they will make it the best they can. I have been covering it well before it made it to steam and it was for sure a hidden gem so definitely one to keep an eye on.

Hmm tbh both have their positives and drawbacks I think Animalia has potential and has made so much progress in such a short time and arguably is pretty comparable to Legacy Isle atm, and The Isle is well the old beast that it is Legacy is fun for the old school players a bit slow at times but still ok for casual play and Evrima well has potential but has a lot of issues atm as well as a lack of variety right now but looks pretty. Either way Animalia is making faster progress currently and The Isle is kinda constantly in development hell. I hope this answer helps my friend.

The desert has below freezing temps when the sun goes down. I understand you don’t have knowledge of this concept but it happens, a lot more than you’d think. So you don’t need more mountainous terrain for it to snow in the desert. It’s fine as it is

If you have a system to run it on you can host your own but I do not have an Animalia server so I wouldn't know how they do it.

You definitely be surprised, In cold deserts it is very common for it to snow in winter, even largest desert in the world is the most commonly associated with snow... Antarctica.

I would try and make sure you meet the requirements for the game and if you do try to either do the repair feature in Steam or try to reinstall the game completely while making sure you delete the save file in your steam common file. If not try running as admin if that does not then try running with either firewall or anti virus turned off. I hope this helps if nothing works try to contact the dev team on discord and see if they have any solutions to your issue.

@@Depleon I think it probably wasn't added like perhaps the game accidentally mixed the 2 weather effects by chance while it was changing. The weather system seems to change so fluidly that it creates some nice weather mixes for a few seconds. I really like the weather in this game.

You're basic knowledge of how _babies_ are made is... Somewhat lacking. You need to ask someone about the Birds and the Bees ;-))... But it looks an interesting game and not a Dragon nor a Dinosaur to be seen, which is refreshing. So that means, it's going to be based on 100% hard known facts instead of popular scientific thought which is still debatable when it comes to dinosaurs. I shall have to look into it as I believe that some playable animals are paid for.

Haha I was going to make a joke out of that but it felt off so I left it. I am not sure how scientifically accurate they plan to make the game but it is nice to see and I think some of the older original models may have been paid for but I believe those are being phased out with newer models since they got a new modeller but haven't gotten any confirmation on that. Either way it's nice to see.

@@Depleon It'll be interesting to see how that develops. From your video, I got the game last night. Jumped onto a server as a gazelle. Could only see lions and all the chat in game was predatory. Be good when a map comes out as I hadn't a clue as to where I was. With regards to breeding, being an avid The Isle player, all Dinos spawn in as eggs so players would suddenly appear out of the nest. I'm assuming that they can't do real births with all that straining and the gore that goes with it. So I'd guess babies... Just appear.

Hmm I was thinking more so having maybe the base speed slower but adding small increments like 1% or less to make it where there is some diversity to the uniqueness of the creatures so some are faster than others but I know what you mean there will always be ways for players to exploit the mechanics.

I disagree with the quick jump up. I would hate it if they did that. In the wild, these animals get up slowly. They're literally defenseless when laying down which is why they rarely do. That's the whole point. It makes you think twice before you lay down. It would defeat the whole purpose of this game being realistic.

Try to run as admin on windows or do the verify integrity of game files through steam settings of the game, turn of antivirus or fire wall also try to reinstall the game because the files may be corrupt. Hopefully that helps but it is a new game so it happens.

I personally don't have to many issues with the lag it does rubber band every so often but the constant updates do help but not bad advice I think most people know what they are getting into with early access.
