Snowstorms and FREEZING COLD (-38C!!) - ALONE at my SEMI OFF GRID CABIN

Love all the fun you have with your doggies and chores! When I’m done watching I’m always in a better mood! Of course I love to see Pooh bear. She was so dramatic about getting her food. Dogs are so funny how they get so excited and dramatic about their food. My dogs are drama queens at meal time. You’d think they were getting fed prime rib...🤣 Glad your feeling better! When you live alone you don’t have much choice but to pull yourself out and get on with it! But it sucks big time when your sick or don’t feel good! Can’t wait for your dog video!!

Holy cow, -39 in November.. I can take it after some adjustment in december, and then in January-February you say; -Bring it on! But not in November.. Brrr! We have had som dusting of snow, nothing sticks yet, but it is coming..Minus degrees all day and night, but not that bad yet, anound minus 7 isch. Beautiful frosty landscape at the moment. Light is fading fast and i can see the sun if out for like 4 hours. Winter is definitely here! Stay warm and enjoy the snow, seems like you dont have any other choice! :)

Stunning, It's down to 5c at night here. Got my winter gear out and started to use the fire, I love watching the fire :-) So what goodies did you buy, Something yummy i hope lol. I have more then enough to keep us going for months if we need to. Good job I did as my Hubby got made redundant for months, But now has another job, Big Smiles :-) Take care stay warm.

Here we go! -17 and -22 Tuesday and Wednesday morning respectively next week! I was told I was lucky because its often -30 here! Going to change the oil in my genny Sunday while it's a balmy 31! I'm running my genny in the wee hours when temps go that bad. Not supposed to run them after 9pm..not freezing to death! The battery box needs some heat to keep the batteries from getting sluggish...

Just my suggestion when you stack the wood in the wood box try to keep them all on top of each other and then a row or two in the front or the back same thing with the sled it might be heavier but you'll get more done faster..... Either way you're doing very well... Love your videos keep them coming please... I also see that you're feeling a lot better after covid thing....JJ....

Your quad impressed me. I was surprised you could get enough traction to plow driveway without using tire chains. As for your wonderful woodshed, have you started to ask yourself why you built it so far from the cabin? 😉 Kind regards from the rainy country south of you.

Hi Stace, nice video, nice to see you having fun no matter what. Your cold weather is coming and my warm weather is suppose to come this week. Like you I am also going through wood fast. We both get wood the same way although, I bring my sled full of wood inside and stack it next to my stove. The more I see your property the moren I like it. I like going out around 10 or 11pm and split firewood, especially when it's snowing lightly. Keep up the fun time and the work.

I could even see your eyelashes frosty, dang, that’s cold! You do a great job plowing and we do know HOW YOU LOVE THAT! You look great though, almost completely done with that weird, strange Covid junk. Living there in the Yukon keeps you definitely in shape with all you have to do to be comfortable and self sufficient. I got a real kick out of the “Off grid police” yup, I believe that is a thing now, I’ve seen it many times on other channels....but when I do, that channel is GONE BABY, it’s just mean, and I do not like mean, mean people suck!!!! It’s probably stupid to ask but..in the winter do you still have to plug in your freezers? I know they’re insulated so that’s why I wondered, but, you know, cold in there cold out there, maybe I just answered my stupid question!! Thanks Stacy, good to see you get at it once again! Oh, and you’re awfully good at those snow skidding moves!

Haha you know me and my love for plowing! I actually don’t mind it when I get a break, last year was so insane with all the snow! And not a stupid question but yep no plugging in freezers. Things stay nice and frozen once it’s below zero!

Love see the pups enjoying their run. All that snow looks amazing, but it definitely creates a lot of work. I actually enjoyed seeing the clip of you relocating your freezers. We call our's the magic box since our pup seems fascinated when we get food out of it. We only had it 6 months. So, the novelty my wear off. Your pups seemed pretty interested in the freezers being relocated though. Love how they help supervise! We also have a cat who supervises pumping projects & some cleaning projects. Love how they make things much more interesting they would be otherwise.

Thinking a pair of old skis attached to a sheet of plywood or even a old skid would work. Keep it low so easy to put items on and off. Be careful you don’t flip quad , you are all alone there, and easy to flip doing spins, ouches!!

Just a thought. If you can find a parts snow mobile get the heated grips and relay and switch. I had an old Arctic Cat that climbed one too many trees and installed the grips on my 4 wheeler and they work great.

Awww, those Hudson Bay mittens look so cute. Love that the dogs are ok in the cold-must be the raw food diet they get. (Or that I think they get 🙂).
