Edinburgh by night is as magical as it is by day. Thanks for posting.

That's true, but as a surprise, ending the day by watching the city from a distance was absolutely stunning experience which I will treasure forever :)

Edinburgh looks beautiful in the day and night. Happy first snow! Knitting and spending time with Leia is perfect. I love samosas and yours looked delicious.

Walking from the Old Town across the Meadows to Bruntsfield and then along to Morningside is a fantastic day out. And it appears that you ended it with views from up Blackford Hill - fantastic. Maybe next time, and on a dry day, you and Magda could consider a stroll along the water in the Hermitage of Braid, which is a fabulous forested ravine that runs along the south side of Blackford Hill. Walking the full length of the path will take you to Liberton, where you can turn left and head into town via foot, or grab a bus. And there are the wonderful residential streets between the Meadows and Blackford Hill...Marchmont, Sciennes, Greenhill, the Grange...like a maze of wonderful architecture. There is also Victor Hugo for lunch on the Meadows. Thank you for this video. I know the area very well and always recommend it and Stockbridge as THE places to go for a day out of shopping, eats and getting a sense of life in that fab city.

Thank you for your recommendations. We often go for family walks in the Hermitage of Braid, but I’m hoping to explore more of the places you mentioned. Magda is an excellent tour guide, and we enjoy showing each other "our places" :)
