Have had a set for 6 months or so. I chose to mount them on the bottom edge of the OEM mirror as they mount to the vehicle on the bottom edge, so I figured there will be less flex along the bottom as opposed to the top edge of the mirror. It also allows 'normal' eye sight over the top of the OEM mirror. But great mirrors for the price.

I drive a 21 Traverse and mounted to the bottom. This allows the driver to adjust the oem mirrors without the clamp hitting it.

Would you use these off road, or only on the bitumen?

Probably best just kept for the highway, Kevin. Use them while towing but remove them when you're on the rough stuff. ~ Ben

My suv came with a rubber rain / glare shield. The rubber is fairly soft the rubber extends about 2 inches from the mirror housing and is about 2mm in thickness. I regularly tow a box trailer that is somewhat narrower than the car and is hidden from view in the side mirrors in a straight line. I use this irregularity to reverse in a somewhat straight / slight zigzagging line. I was told by my local auto store I would need to cut these shields off to fit any sort of towing mirrors. Are there any attachment that will accommodate this.
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure sorry, Norman, I'd have to see the mirrors to better understand this before I could make a recommendation. At the end of the day the clamps need a sturdy flat surface to make complete contact with, if these shields create any sort of weak or unstable point, then they may impede the security of the mirrors. Sorry I couldn't be of much help. You can always call into one of our stores in Adelaide or Brisbane so we can have a look if you are anywhere nearby. ~ Ben

I have the tear drop mirrors and have been using them successfully for a couple of trips. However the number 2 nuts are not holding the arm securely enough ( completely tightened) and the mirror tilts forward as you are driving. How can this be corrected please ?
@SnowysOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, this isn't an issue I've come across before sorry, Michele. If you are by chance near one of our stores it would be good if we could inspect them, otherwise, you could try inserting some sheet rubber to make the clamps grip tighter. You can also buy new clamps here - www.snowys.com.au/mirror-clamp, but without more detail I'm not sure if this will fix your problem. If the mirrors are relatively new and you purchased them from us then you can submit a warranty claim here - www.snowys.com.au/warranty. ~ Ben

Hi will this fit my new Toyota 79 series troop carrier 2022? Please thanks
@SnowysOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
We dont have any specific fitting exception information for vehicles post 2020 at the moment @M Sablic, but there has never been a exception for Toyota class vehicles at all, so see no reason why the new vehicles would be different. ~ Lauren

mine vibrate like mad making them nearly useless, what am i doing wrong?
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, not sure. Is the vibration in the Milenco or is it coming from the mirrors on your vehicle?... might be hard to tell. If you've installed them as per the video then I'm not sure what to recommend, you could always call into a store to see if someone with experience can have a look for you. ~ Ben

The problem with these type of mirror mounted on mirror is that when ever a large truck comes toward you the entire assembly flicks back against the drivers side. So irritating.
@SnowysOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
We've had mixed reviews regarding this, some people don't have any problems, I think it's dependent on the vehicle and how strong the hinge is on the mirrors. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoorsI have seen some people are using an a strap attached to the mud guard and bottom of mirror this give extra strength when big trucks past by
