Outstanding. No poles of different sizes, no flysheet. Because of the difficulty in setting up tents, I was looking at spending far more on something I have to register every year and has to be towed behind my car, but really this is a much more affordable, much lower maintenance and much lower total cost of ownership option. The Zempire Evo TS Air Tent looks good too.

These air tents along with the Zempire air tent range are an excellent and much more affordable alternative to expensive rooftop tents or trailers. You also get more bang for your buck in that there is much more living space for a much smaller packed size. ~ Ben

Why on earth Dometic does not have zip or velcro attached walls for the awning is beyond me? If that was an option, I would own this tent. (Wind, rain and sun, do occur and need to be resisted!! - daft???)

@@thatmushroomguy5904 I inspected the tent at a camping show in Sydney and thought it was awesome. I also challenged the rep why on earth there wasnt the ability to easily enclose the awning. (Really annoying tbf because here in Australia the white canopy would do a great job of reflecting the sun too...)

@@thatmushroomguy5904 I have actually just bought a Vango Calder. (It has a shelter on the front that can be rolled up if too windy, but I will put up with the shelter downwind. Why did I buy it? Cheap on offer at below 500 smackaroonies. Tiny when packed up in comparison to this tent and the Zempires. whilst it is poles, there are 4 and it is very simple to put up. We shall see how we go... All the best!

We don't have this on the cards at the moment sorry, Pollen. The 2X4 is the same as the 4X8 with the extended room at the rear, it otherwise pitches the same and has much the same features. You can't add the room accessory to the 2X4 either, it wouldn't serve any real purpose. ~ Ben

Be interesting to see how to dry it out after rain? How waterproof is it?

Dometic don't claim a waterhead rating, but they do say that it is waterproof and we haven't had any negative reports suggesting otherwise. Being canvas, it would take longer to dry than synthetic if the fabric did get to the point of taking on any water, you'd want to make sure this was 100% dry before storing. ~ Ben

We probably won;t get to that one sorry, the 2 x 4 is pretty much the same thing only without the middle room, I thoughts I'd largely be doubling up on features by doing a second video. ~ Ben

To be honest that takes a long time to set up. I thought inflatable tents were about simplifying things. My conventional tent goes up much easier than that unfortunately

Air tents aren't just about set up time, but also longevity and stability in adverse weather conditions/wind. ~ Lauren

You pay big money fee or this tent. The least they could do is provide better pegs and a thick PVC floor instead of the cheap plastic tarp material for floor. Complete fail!!!

The polyethylene tent floor has been around for 20 years and has been the mainstay in tent floor standards. There are obviously tents with PVC, etc options now, but the polyethylene is still a awesome option. ~ Lauren
