Good stuff Ben wish you'd do a review on every product I'm thinking of buying haha. Quick one for you, what are the dimensions between the mounting rails on top of the hard shell? Trying to gauge how big of a solar panel it could fit.

Possibly the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on and because of the size of the Panther 2000 almost impossible to find a mattress to fit up there. I’ve had a fair amount of water get in along the opening side of tent while driving in rain and it’ll be interesting to see how much dust gets in there behind a convoy. Besides those grievances I absolutely love this rtt so quick and easy to set up and pack up with endless room in them.

So… you’re supposed to be able to reach those elastic band straps during setup… without a ladder?

Depends on how your rooftop tent is mounted I guess, you may well need to attach the ladder in order to reach the straps. ~ Ben

Are there any seals where it closes? Looks like water could work its way under the hard shell in heavy rain driving

I'd say theres a rare chance abit of water could get in, but nothing that should cause any issues. Ultimately its a waterproof canvas tent which you can use year round, and theres a small canvas skirt that runs along the edge of the tent. Its not going to get more wet than it would if you were to set it up and use it in a down pour. Its be recommended to open up your tent and give it a good dust off/sweep out when you get home from a trip anyway, so you'd notice if it needed abit of drying out. ~ Lauren

I have the Armadillo A3 and drive daily in the PNW with lots of rain and haven’t had any issues with that at all. It’s dry as a bone.

Is it possible to add mattress toppers and leave them on for pack down?

You might be able to add a thin mattress topper, Dildz, but anything too thick will make it harder to close. ~ Ben

Can you easily reach the straps etc when it is mounted on your roof?

It's on the side of the vehicle so would only worry you if you're vertically challenged

I assume you mean the straps for pack-up/set-up? If so, then it really depends on the height of your vehicle, but the long strap used for raising /lowering the canopy is extra long and will be plenty long enough for most vehicles. ~ Ben
