Excellent and most thorough review! Great to see Ben applying his analytical camping skills and knowledge in reviewing one of Zempires lovely mid-range tents. Next, hopefully a review of the Pro series... :-)

The Evo is expensive enough, the Pros are just insane - we have Pronto 5 and Pronto 10.
@Pisceanboi Жыл бұрын
@@TomWilding1 The Pronto 5 and 10 are excellent air tents, and arguably have the best ventilation of any of Zempires tent range, and thus eminently suited for use in Australias very hot summers.

@@Pisceanboi We have just used the P5 every second weekend at Jindaybne (Skiing) it's amazing in the cold too, due to the ventilation, we had no moisture in the tent all winter.

@@TomWilding1 Jindabyne is a lovely part of the world - its great to hear that in the cold there were no issues with condensation - some people have conjectured that the roof vents would make the interior very draughty in the cold if there's wind about - how have you found the P5 under those conditions?

Hi. I'm considering buying this tent. I'd like to know, how hot is it in the hot weather? Because it doesn't have windows in the bedroom area that open for breeze. Thankyou
@SnowysOutdoors8 ай бұрын
I'd say this is similar to most tents in hot weather, there is plenty of vents at the rear of the tent and you can utilise the mesh doorway to the sleeping area for increased ventilation. ~ Ben

We just put ours up for the first time in the backyard, I said to my wife we should put the ground sheet l over the cord that holds the two front air poles together! Is that correct. So no one trips on it. She thinks not? Cheers
@SnowysOutdoors10 ай бұрын
You may be the first people to question whether there is a right or wrong way here. I don't think it matters, I'd go with whatever sits the neatest, either way there is a trip point at the front if it's not pegged flat i.e. groundsheet or strap. ~ Ben

Can this be inflated with an air compressor?
@SnowysOutdoors Жыл бұрын
If you can find a Boston Valve attachement, you probably could - just bare in mind the PSI limitation, if these is exceeded which can easily happen with Air Compressors, it voids warranty. Hope that helps! ~ Lauren

Still looking at this tent. Does anyone have issues with no windows in the sleeping part? Mainly condensation.
@SnowysOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I haven't heard anything specifically about that @darrennorth7987, but if you ask in the FB Group there's a woman called Bec Fleay who you could probably tag - I know she camped with one of these, or the next size up, for a fair while. She's my go to with real life info on it, and used to be part of the Snowys crew, so she's happy to answer questions ~ Lauren

Thanks for posting this - not a lot of AU content covering this specific Zempire model. I am torn between this and the Outdoor Connection Tanbar Air - noting that the Zempire weighs in at 18kg (poly based) and the OC is 29kg (canvas). I can see Snowy's used to stock the OC tent range but seems to have been discontinued. The OC gear feels a bit more "old school" in its look vs. Zempire which looks way more modern! Tough decision to make !!
@SnowysOutdoors9 ай бұрын
The OC tents have a great cult following, and being a local Brissie business they get a lot of love. I think when in comes to Air Tents Zempire do have the authority on that kind of technology and overall development in the space. They've really pioneered it, so I think that's why people love to invest in their gear. 100% a tough choice! ~ Lauren

I'm trying to decide between the evo ts, evo tm and pronto 5...and the pronto 10 is on my radar as well. What's the sleeping pod of the evo range like in summer? Is it stuffy? I like the pronto 5 for ventilation, and reviews seem to say it handles the cold well too, but the awning is putting me off - are zip on sides available for the pronto awnings? Thank you
@louisebrown4304 Жыл бұрын
Oh, I saw you mention you can remove the darkened pod - to add ventilation is why I'd want to, for 40 + degree days - but what's the tent like without it?

The bedroom pod is attached via toggles, etc like and internal suspended fabric room, so when you remove it the tent is a single large open space. ~ Lauren

Almost perfect except for ventilation design..!! Lots of external ventilation plus rear window, which is great, but it defeats the purpose when there's no mesh windows inside the dark room section 🤦♂that's quite a design flaw from Zempire. this tent would be to hot for queensland summer.!! 🙃 Sucks, i really wanted to buy this tent but won't because of that design flaw alone..
@SnowysOutdoors5 ай бұрын
The internal tent does have roof ventilation with a mesh door, and the material itself is quite a light so not overly stuffy. The air gap between the inner and the tent will be the main factor with temperature regulation, but breeze is abit more limited ~ Lauren
