Smash 64 is by far the most balanced (and imo the most fun) smash game of the bunch. It's much more about player skill than character choice. Link for example is an above average offensive character, with great projectiles, spacing, and a plethora of kill moves, not to mention some of the most natural and varied combos in the game. His big flaw however is his abysmal recovery, to the point where most of the time he's knocked off (particularly in Dream World), he's dead. He's still really fun to play as though, and actually has a decent matchup against Pikachu. Luigi as another example is considered to be the worst character in thr game, but has a ridiculously good, if somewhat slow and predictable recovery.

@@YellowKeebyfreean is really good and isai has won with luigi before. Hes slow and easy to exploit, but he still has win conditions
