Definitely makes going to Port worth it! Though I still have PTSD from driving that track in my Ute a few years ago - it was all dips, up & down - horrible 😂😂
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
PTSD 🤣 Yep, relatable. Did it once in the 4wd with the kids, took 2 hours to go 12 kays 😫

In the overcrowded UK we can't even walk the dog on the beaches (a lot) between March and October, let alone ride a motorbike.
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
Bummer. Here in Aus, once you get away from the major cities you have plenty of freedom again. But the citys are equally as bad you mentioned. Cheers

I'm slowly catching up on your vids. :) We've only done Plomer Road in a fourby. (and you're right, it's pronounced "Plummer") Seeing you doing that sandy section from Queen's Head South gets me thinking we should do a run up there in the Urals. (We have two: one has a winch) Glad to see you getting the service done at Rocks. They're good people.
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
Definitely a fun way to get to Port- though the sand sections (with scattered sharp rocks) is a little tricky. The beach run to the north wall is the best way to go - but the access from Queens Head is up-hill and soft. Cheers mate 👍

I'm planning a trip to Maitland from Brisbane, first stop Grafton, second stop Port Macquarie or somewhere around there. Maitland is Postie Bike National weekend. September 8,9,10. From there, I'll be making my way back, exploring some of the places you have shown. Have you been to Trail Bay. But it will be school holidays, so camping might be hard.
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
I live in south west rocks, so Trial Bay is my back yard 😁 Beautiful place, and a region well worth exploring as you cruise through 👍

Ya did well on the sand I’ve done sand once and hope that was the last 👍👍

🤣 sand can be very painful, Johnny! Not my favourite either mate.

I have zero sand experience on the moto. Did quite a bit of it in my mountain biking days. Hardpack mostly. Looks like a lot of work! Thanks again Phil your vids are always entertaining 😊

Enjoying the crf more than dr .? No regrets??
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
Hi Derrick, no regrets mate. Do miss the power, but the other gains with the Rally compensate pretty well 👍
@briangaskill8348 Жыл бұрын
Do you like the CRF better than you old BMW G310 GS?
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
Both very similar in some ways- like engine performance, weight.GS 310 far more comfortable, but not quite as capable as the Rally. I'd like to own both. Terrific machines 👍

What was that sandy road after Pt Plomer?
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
Point Plomer Road 👍
@richardkenna149 Жыл бұрын
@MidCoastAdventures didn't realise it was that sandy. I was aiming to take that road when i was up that way in a 4wd years ago but took the beach instead, which likes like the smoother option!
@MidCoastAdventures Жыл бұрын
@@richardkenna149 Yep! The beach is the way to go/ I kinda missed the tide or I'd have taken it for sure.
