The only thing I’m concerned about for this game is the idea that they’ll never be physical cards. Cards with such amazing art don’t deserve to be just stuck in an app.

Of course the “Emersive Cards” will work best in the app, but I do hope we get like a special set with some of these cards. I mean, maybe similar to the Detective Pikachu set we got for the movie. 🤔

Oh yeah, I remember they did that for the first wave of EX Pokemon 🤔 I had a Golem ex that was weak to Grass and Water.

They could do something similar to Yu-Gi-Oh where they limit how many copies you can use of a card and with decks possibly being smaller in size with only 20 cards per deck, I think it balances things out a little bit.

I am almost thinking ex’s could be a “1 in each copy per deck.” At the very least, I’m guessing card limit won’t be the usual 4 copies the main TCG has, because then that’s already 1/5 of your deck 😂

They had to include ex, sadly, because those cards were created only to make the game more expensive to begin with. Mewtwo is looking a bit crazy so far, yeah. My guess is that only one ex Pokemon is allowed per deck (maybe 2), but still.

If you’re talking about high rarity cards, they could have high rarity cards without them needing to be ex’s. But yeah, I am really interested to see what kind of deck building rules there will end up being.

I'm excited for this game, and will be eagerly refreshing KZbin for new content and strategies about how to get the best F2P/ premium pass only account, and which decks are the best to fight against story mode NPCs. That is, if we get some sort of story mode or progression in this game.

It really exciting. It feels like the lead up to Pokémon Go. And definitely agree about hoping there’s some good single player content too.

Hypothetically they could, but honestly I’d like that even less. I really hope they don’t. When we know the full set list, I imagine things will look a lot more balanced, but as of now, I’m just not vibing with EX’s in the first set 😂

Honestly kinda of started on a whim, but I really do enjoy going back to unscripted/speculation/ and keeping up with something current type of content. Really interested in how the game will actually be and figured I’d just jump in on the ground floor, lol

I get what you are saying but consider that the fact that these aren't real cards makes it so that if anything is broken they can send quick patches out to nerf cards since Pocket won't be beholden to being 1 to 1 with physical cards like Live is

I really doubt they’d straight up change stats of a card, but some nice wishful thinking. Though it would be interesting to see how they handle cards IF anything becomes a real problem. I’m mostly just not a fan of start off the power scale with ex’s from the beginning, but i think the most interesting part will be seeing how things actually play out and what the second set does to change things up. 👀
