Tbh Bard has a ridiculously high skill ceiling, the champion is not bad, he’s just so unconventional that it’s hard for the player and teammates to know what to do with a Bard in low elo, but if you’re good enough on the champ and your teammates have good macro then you can quite literally solo-carry games as Bard with your practical omnipresence on the map.

4:42 that Bard Q is not questionable. Most people just don't play, with, or even against a Bard. What Bard's Q does is that it basically "creates" a new projectile once it hits its 1st target. That new projectile would then try to "link" to the nearest terrain it can, or otherwise hit another target. With that in mind, there's a neat Bard tech where if you hit something with the edge of the skillshot, the range of the link can be extended hy aound 20% or so. This is not even the worst case of this. There's an interaction where, if you move, dash, or flash away right after being hit by a Bard Q, the link projectile actually continues from where you were first hit, and if that link projectile still hit a wall, you'll still be stunned no matter how far away you are from the wall.

this man speaks the truth. Yeah, it's crazy but very understandable that people don't know a lot about how bard works. The Bard Q that was being questioned to me just seemed normal, but got the full range out of it. I was thinking to myself "Wtf, are they talking about? it's a normal bard Q." but if the other interaction (that you mentioned) happened, people's minds would have been blown and question mark pings would be flying in chat.

Bard has always been a pocket pick in the LCK and Korean high elo solo queue. He's been played nearly every meta there since his release. What's unusual is he's always worked well in competitive and high elo but it took him this long to finally show up at Worlds but that's why we have Keria!

@@darkhime7005 what proof do you have that they lost because of Bard? It was heavily due to their stubborn refusal to ban Aatrox and Faker and Zeus constantly throwing. Not only this but Zeka was just a better midlander so they never even stood a chance. Keria picked up a lot of their slack and did great actually. Let's not forget the 3 carries on T1 have been coinflipping games since they've been together on this roster and Keria shockingly keeps them from doing a lot of stupid shit. (This is coming from someone who despises support mains, especially Bard players but I wouldn't be so hasty as to blame Keria for their loss).

I really love playing bard, it gives me so much control over the game. His ult can be used to engage, disengage, freeze tanks to kill squishies, save teammates, freeze towers… the list goes on. The mobility is awesome, you glide around the map and can set up really awesome angles for engaging. You can even completely lock down 2 people by stunning, freezing and stunning them again. Bard gang.

Bard in Solo Queue and no bats an eye. Bard in Pro play and everybody loses their minds. But on a serious note, Bard is seriously an awesome champion! I main him, its a pain in solo queue with no instanteneous comms because you have to sync with your teammates for around 1-2 skirmishes to get a grasp of how trigger happy are they with their abilities.

The Bard Q was pretty good. However, the the ult that followed wasn't very good. It stopped rumble from finishing off Ori. Gave Ori time for her skill cds to cool off to potentially turn the tide of the fight. In this case it just didn't matter because she didn't have her ult and the team was just too far behind. Bard should have aimed his ult to a corner near the wall so it just gets the turret.

Q flash to get a double stun angle AND disables the tower. Keria was NUTS in that game. Oner and Zeus was great too, picking off players one by one. Though I have to criticize the Sylas pick, kinda weird considering there aren't any massive ult steal that could've led to a game changer (and from the game, there really wasn't any worthwhile)
