Fair commentary. What's nuts is $85 CAD is $62 USD. That's like a 2016 price. So from a break experience perspective, it's completely worth it. And the more we value a broader range of products, the more valuable those cards actually are. And the more affordable highly sought cards are by contrast. (I'm Johnny-one-note on the "democratize the hobby" harmonica.)

I sort of like Allure. Pulled McDavid auto out of the 2020-21 product plus a 1 of 1 Lafreniere auto from the same set. And from the 2021-22 set, I pulled an Ovechkin auto. So yes, I seem to have some decent luck with Allure. Still am waiting to pull a Crosby auto out of any product.

I would rip a few boxes of this at like $60 US. In the current market there is no point buying anything on release as it will all come down in price relatively soon.

I like allure, a lot. The base design this year looks amazing. Like you said, the product is still trying to find its niche but its well on its way to establishing itself as a great product. I think the rainbow cards are great for set collectors, just wish they were all numbered. The red/orange are way too common. Blue line autos are absolutely beautiful and the die cuts this year are stunning. The inserts are terrible, though. Quartz and iced out arent too bad but everything else belongs in the dumpster.
