The you joke didn't get was the preacher kept saying "bless the lord" and "God has really blessed this place" and the farmer wasn't really happy with him giving all of the credit to God because he did all of the work and he said "You've should've seen it when God was doing it by himself"

The lord was doing it himself," meant that here the farmer sweated and toiled, moved rocks and tended the garden, and the priest was giving all the credit to god.

Reagan was a class act. Tough and strong against the Soviet Union, a great reformer of failed policies, but gracious and charming. A truly rare politician.

Maybe in your alternative reality, but in reality US was not in a single war during his time in office, only a few small military skirmishes or engagements, Iran, Libya, Grenada. Grenada was the only thing that lasted over a day and it was only 8 days. He brought down USSR with the Military buildup without firing a single shot, which Gorbachev the leader of the USSR went to cite as the main reason they collapsed because they couldn't match the spending!

These secret little black ops "situations" led to some real shit going down, and we are still living with the consequences, especially in the Middle East and Central and South America.
