Here's a quick recipe for making the best Chicken Lollipop with Cheetos Takis:
Ingredients:
Chicken drumettes
Cheetos or Takis (your preference)
All-purpose flour
Eggs
Salt
Pepper
Oil for frying
Preparation:
Crush the Cheetos or Takis into fine crumbs. You can do this by putting them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin or by pulsing them in a food processor.
Prepare a dredging station with three shallow bowls: one with all-purpose flour seasoned with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with the crushed Cheetos or Takis crumbs.
Assembly:
Take each chicken drumette and carefully push the meat down towards the bottom to form a "lollipop" shape.
Dip each lollipop into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it generously with the crushed Cheetos or Takis crumbs. Press the crumbs onto the chicken to ensure they stick.
Cooking:
Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (180°C).
Carefully place the chicken lollipops into the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
Make sure to fry in batches to avoid overcrowding the pot, which can lower the oil temperature and make the chicken greasy.
Serving:
Once cooked, remove the chicken lollipops from the oil and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch or barbecue sauce.
