so demi lovato lost her voice on holy fvck tour??? and redeemed herself...??

This is my review over some arguments that "Demi lost her voice on tour" and debunking statements that "she can't sing no more". Proving here Demi did delivered some of her best vocals in her entire career, despite one fail or another.

bro all of her songs are so incredibly vocally demanding and difficult. She is one of the most talented singers of our generation. Nobody can deny that regardless of how they feel about her as a person. She is such an incredible talent and deserves all the props! I adore that woman

Also she hasn't toured since 2018 in one of the darkest times of her life. Maybe she should just do occasional events instead of a full length tour. Vocally these songs are very difficult too sing every night and it's very easy to have bad days. When the good days come it just feels so fulfilling when your able to hit the notes 🖤

imo, these back to back shows don't allow the voice to rest up. it's not like singers can just go straight home and rest after concerts, and the preparation before a performance take up a lot of energy as well. primarily due to Demi's vocally demanding songs, she wants to present them the best she could. if she could rearrange some songs differently, performs acoustically, lower some keys and keep her best songs to power out, even putting some as a medley, she could still have some fun and the fans would have a blast because we still got everything we need. good and healthy Demi, voice and body 💚

@@grandeflamesbutera3949 She only rescheduled two shows. Didn’t cancel anything. It’s completely normal for an artist to have vocal issues during a tour. Adele, Sam Smith, Christina, etc. all do. Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, etc. do too. It was two night that Demi couldn’t hit high notes perfectly. That’s it.

As singers it's a lot of work to maintain strong and healthy vocals. Everything u do and even eat can effect how your voice reacts. So it's very easy to have a day when our " instrument" doesn't function as well as it should. And it takes more than cleaning or a new part to fix. For our "instrument" it takes exercise, diet, and even rest for it to function at its peak.

I’m actually a little concern for Demi’s voice. She’s amazing, obviously, and her high register is better than ever, but the rest of her voice… She’s lost all the support on her range, specially on her mid range, she doesn’t resonate or support at all, it always sounds thin, shaky and throaty… I don’t know why. I really hope it’s just an stylistic choice and not an actual issue. Really miss the openness from the Confident era and earlier :(

they’ve been supporting C# perfectly on this tour and even resonating on those (hwga, 29). they’re way better than tmylm tour that’s for sure. i don’t know how you came to that conclusion but as far as watched every concert i can guarantee you that is not true. there are so flawlessly-done mid belts from skyscraper, iris, remember december… and all of them pretty well supported

Demi's voice is amazing. With that being said, I really do think it's important to take the proper time to rest when you are sick. I'm no professional by a long shot, but I don't think it's good to try to sing and to put that strain on your vocals (especially the high notes she hits...again, AMAZING). Couldn't this have long term effects? Isn't that kinda what happened to Mariah Carey?? Because I remember back when Mariah could hit a high note as easily as blinking. Literally effortlessly. But something in her nodes got messed up which is why it's so hard for her to do now and even for some years now. Not sure if that came from singing when she knew she should be resting or something completely different. I just know something like that happened years ago making it hard for her to sing like she normally could.

one thing that these pop stars need to know is that it’s ok too dodge notes or alter the key half a step down. rock vocalists do it all the time and kill it and nobody cares. ik pop stars need to act like everything is perfect tho & that’s one thing ab rock is that we’re content w not everything being “perfect”. still tho demi can sing so good

I think it was a combination of being sick and all the back to back shows. Demi did amazing at the Philadelphia show but she actually dodged a lot of the classic high notes. She dodged in skyscraper, 4 ever 4 me, sorry not sorry, and the bridge of skin of my teeth. She was throwin in random belts where she could, but she was definitely still struggling :( Glad she pulled through by the end of the tour tho!
