wad zee, i have something to keep in mind regarding the crystals, So basically you take WAY more explosion damage when your lower half is exposed, so if you were to stand right next to an end crystal, but one block lower, you take like 3 hearts instead of like 15, so you don't have to use all your blocks to not die. I learned this from End crystal PvP and it definitely helps in the dragon fight (: I hope you found this helpful!
