Only reason I can imagine they made this dog decision is A: they aren't comfortable releasing the full mode because they want to balance things to a finer degree, so they're gathering match-data to see if things are in line with their expections. Or B: they don't want to split the playerbase even further, since with the addition of brawl, it would make finding pub games during the entire week very difficult for casuals. The thing is though, for both of these reasons; why launch ranked anyways? If they don't feel comfortable, why ship it half-assed? I know for a fact I'm not planning my Saturday around the hours that ranked is available lmao. Honestly killed the hype, and I won't touch ranked until they fully release it.

I would have to imagine that they're poring over the data from today and deciding how quickly they can move ranked to full release. Today was a glorified data-gathering exercise: server load; playerbase in ranked vs casual vs Brawl; NA vs EU specific metrics. Maybe I'm just making excuses.

There's a fairly simple answer that applies to most all software when a company does a rollout or testing like this. You wanna know the reason why ranked was for 8 hours on one day? It's because they have only a best guess at what will happen overall when they flip the switch. That's it. Yes, they will get data to use when looking at everything overall but them rolling it out as a test day was to simply see what would happen when they turn it on. It's not as deep and blind as everybody is trying to make it sound

100% agree with you about ranked mode and I love how vocal you are about it. Too many people are happy to try and make excuses/defend Omeda over what is a ridiculous and counterproductive decision. They completely deserve to get called up on it

I really wish they put Ranked available every day. I work whenever there is concerts at my workplace and usually they land on weekends. I dont dislike playing against mirror picks so thats the main reason i like ranked modes.

I use a backlog this is from I believe Thursday last week although I did not get any games worth posting from the couple hours I was able to play since the match making was suspect as expected since everyone was at the same starting point I think Joe has a video of his first game if you want to watch that

I agree wholeheartedly that omeda's decision to limit ranked is a terrible one. You hit the nail on the head, you're supposed to grind ranked for the climb! I am also curious to hear the thought process that went on when they decided to make the window to play so limited. Seems like such a poor decision that no one could justify imo

Sorry to went here, but why do people in my lobbies always build full azure core as a first item? I swear I haven't seen someone build just alch. rod in forever, they always finish it right away. Is my elo so low, or do people just look at omeda city builds, see core as the first item and think to themselves: "Well it's listed as the first item, that means I should build first!"
