What I love so much about Todd's playing is his ability to play so smooth and tastefully, to play for the music. Sometimes I feel like when people gain very advanced abilities, they put their technical skills in the spotlight OVER the actual sound and feel of the music. Todd definitely sticks to the feel/groove of the music; his skills and ears for music and the guitar are unquestionable and used to really send off and compliment the groove without overpowering or distracting his audience from the feel he is emitting through the song. Love it

I hear what you are saying but, it is still an amazing take on another amazing take on someone's original creation. Which I'm not sure if what Dilla samples for this was an original version of the song with the melody. Not that any of that really matters to me.
