You said you’ve done a lot of Elvis….but in reality, you’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg. He has tons of songs! In my opinion he is the best singer ever! He sang any genre…country, pop, gospel, r&b…he was versatile. He sang ballads like no one else! He did three gospel albums. His voice gives me goosebumps. I will love him forever. Please do some more! :) Thanks! And you two are great!

This is so obviously written by Mac Davis. His fingerprints are all over it. Elvis delivers it well. This is from one of the Elvis movies, back in '68. It was remixed and re-released in 2002, becoming a hit once again. It hit #1 in the UK singles chart, the only #1 for an Elvis song after his death. They released it again a couple years later, and it went back up to #3. The video for the remix is pretty fun too. Here's a YT link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKmUkGl8YtN2l9ksi=SE9pLsF1fGpLTjkv

This is from Songfacts - Mac Davis and Billy Strange wrote this for the 1968 Elvis movie Live A Little, Love A Little, which was one of Presley's last. The song is all about taking action - enough talk already! Davis wrote the original version for Aretha Franklin, but when Billy Strange, who was handling music for the film, approached Davis about contributing a song, he realized that "A Little Less Conversation" fit the scene perfectly, so he reworked it with Strange and Elvis sang it for the film. "I read the script, and the place where they needed a song was in a scene where he's seducing a girl at a pool and she's talking too much, and he's trying to get her to leave with him," Davis said in a Songfacts interview. "I had this song already started that I was hoping Aretha Franklin might like, and I wrote it really with her in mind. It just fit right into that spot and they asked me to clean up the lyrics. It was a little funky, I guess, for his image at the time. So I changed his lyrics to fit the times." 😎✌🏻🤟🏻🖖🏻

Elvis it's awesome. My mother was and still is a big fan and actually saw him live at a teenager. So growing up I heard my share of his music. And loved it! He has so many great hits that I like, but I have to say if you get a chance to check out, "burning love," I think you will find it a rocking song. Thanks for the reaction P.S. I'm sorry. You have already discovered it and now I'm watching that reaction. Lol

Kathie says…my favorite Elvis songs go waaaay back to the beginning. I am hoping that you will react to at least one of these songs. For a good rockin’ song, play PARALYZED. Then for the HEARTBREAK HOTEL feel….react to: I WAS THE ONE…THAT’S WHEN YOUR HEARTACHE BEGINS…and DON’T. Elvis 1956-57 has always been my favorite years. Please give these a listen…you will be in for a treat!

The Blossoms are the back-up singers. They did back-up for Elvis on several things including his '68 comeback special. They sang back-up for Marvin Gaye in the 60's and appeared on the T.A.M.I. variety show. Darlene Love (who you've reacted to) was part of this group. One of the appearances on the T.A.M.I. show is Darlene Love doing the gospel song Didn't It Rain (you've reacted to Sister Rosetta Tharpe's version).

This song was written in about 20 minutes because the director of the film said they needed a filler tune. Between the writers and The wrecking crew studio musicians it didn’t take much longer than that to get the recording for the movie as well as the single. Hal Blaine on drums (master drummer, 35,000 recordings, 8 Grammys, over 100 top ten records), along with Al Casey on guitar and Larry Knechtel on bass, all of whom are in the RRHOF.

Yeah, the Junkie XL remix from 2002 is the one that most people know. The original recording from 1968 (part of the soundtrack to Elvis's movie, "Live A Little, Love A Little") was released as a B-side to "Almost In Love" and was only a minor hit for Elvis. By contrast, JXL's remix was done for Nike's FIFA World Cup ad campaign in 2002 and hit #50 in the US and #1 in the UK, Elvis's only #1 hit after his death. And, yeah, I agree with you; Junkie XL really dialed in the energy of the song and gave it a smoothness and momentum that the original version just didn't have, imo. In fact, when I eventually went back and listened to this original version of the song, it sounded to me like a demo rather than a finished song. It just sounds a little... idk.. sloppy? And not in a good, rock 'n' roll kind of way, but more like the producer was rushed and didn't really believe in the song enough to spend the time to do it justice. I'm not saying that's what happened, just that it doesn't quite sound like they figured out what to do with the mix (and Elvis sounds like he's rushing on the hook). And, considering they only released the original 1968 version as a B-side, didn't put it onto an LP until three years later, and cut it from the '68 Comeback Special, it seems like even the people who made this song weren't super into it.

This is a good recording for the Essential collection of Elvis' greatest hits. But the remix and video made for the Number 1's album really makes you want to move. There is a certain thump, bump, and funk added to the song to show him respect at the turn of the century. I think you should watch the video for yourselves and dance to the music. You two are great. And just like Elvis, you put your fans first, and we love you for it. That's my message to you because you made me smile today. I'm just returning the favor. RECONSIDER BABY, AMERICAN TRILOGY, TREAT ME NICE, & PROMISED LAND await your ears. Keep going and enjoy

Hey guys! Love your channel!! ❤️ I am a huge fan of pretty much ANYTHING by Elvis, but one of my absolute favorites which few people ever mention is “One Night With You”. My favorite of his ballads is the better known “Can’t Help Falling In Love”. As far as his gospel songs, I’m a true sucker for his version of “How Great Thou Art”. As I said, I love all his stuff. You can’t go wrong with Elvis. He is The King for a reason.
