Had some realisations about the tier list I made a week ago thanks to Fenrysk's reaction video! This is just some snippets of it, but I do recommend watching his full video cause there's a ton of info!!

i honestly think it's impossible to tier list in honkai bc there's different players at different stages with different goals so a new player will have different wants compared to a f2p hard camping agony and a p2w nirvana retainer and fenrir mentions this briefly when he gets to hos and brings up his anecdotes, I honestly think a general rule of thumb people (f2p mid/late game casuals since they're the majority) should juss go for whoevers free and relevant, e.g. hot and hor are free in wt and event but have wider boss coverage granted not top score. I also recommend to pull depending on gears since its easier to pull for gears for a valk u already have/valk who's gears(mainly weapon) u have since if u wait to farm gems to get both a valk and gears that character won't be relevant anymore or soon to be(in my example i have hofs weapon so im more inclined to go for her as my fire dps over others such as vill v since i dont have any other gears) (granted there's other factors such as me having other quantum characters for abyss)(im planning to pull for 7T in 6.2 since ill be getting hot for free) (another way to be smart with gems to go for valk banners like vill v or hotr who give gear boxes by pulling). sp valks when they first come out the guarantee is also a good deal that won't come back out, this advice is also talked about in this video when it's said to wait for the new wt valk since u can juss fully gear them straight away with gacha savings. Waifu players should snipe their character from returnee gacha if they can since theres free pulls and they wouldnt mind falling behind in progress. veterans and whales can ignore this advice but you should already know what your spending on/dont need a guide but overall the meta is that gacha valks always end up given for free in wt and all valks get outclassed by a future one so in the long run it doesn't matter who u get tbh. My final piece of advice is to look at leaks for future characters/spending events etc since they also affect spending decisions, e.g. currently I see alot of discourse about skipping ai chan for hotr or skipping both for glb/cn anni in 6.4 for the spending event but sometimes glb banners are released differently to cn such as the hofs rank up expansion being released early in 6.1 on glb. the length of this guide goes to show how redundant tier lists will be in genshin as even this ain't long enough as I didn't talk about dorm buffs or farming characters with asterite/gold pins and other shit

Yeaaa 100% agreee! meta's always changing so for newer players, the best is to focus on new/upcoming valks, while older valks can be collected casually + trust that they'll eventually make their way to f2p territory! Ultimately, there's no 'right way' of playing Honkai, just 'our own way' which depends on our priorities~

HOT is still on meta, and thx to 7T and HOTR next update she will hold the position....and actually I don't think she fell from meta without 7T

mobius may have a comeback appareantly she is getting her boss back from aponia according to marisa honkai.

@@benzogalaxy2566 don't know about mobius and don't have her...HOT accompanied since my first days back in 2020 " in her release"...so I made this comment, and new mei in 6.4, herrschers always a great choice...going for them definitely not a wast of xtals

@@proudsaiyajin well the things is she is in between not meta and meta she is a REALLy good subtitute and she gets decent scores on bosses if u dont have HoT plus she does the most damage compared to HoT and aponia she got her boss back from aponia a. HOWEVER there are conspiracys on the nee herrscher mei battle suit being a free from an event if we think it like this , spina asteria was for free but she wasnt the best fire dps so what if , mei is actually free from an upcoming event , she probably wouldnt be meta meta like HoT or HoHe.

@@benzogalaxy2566 well, about that we may get kiamei as double release or maybe mei alone or another S ranker, and considering they called HOTR: Hybrid not dps or support...means we may entering new era where every S ranker matter and maybe must pull...that still we don't know but don't think new mei is like spina even if she's free spina needs S3/SS to do well, and ot's known that HOT needs SS, not S1 or2 SS to start feeling the change in her power and with 7T if you push her to SS1-3 or SSS is better

@@proudsaiyajin to conclude , it would be more reasonable for mei to be free as ALOT of people will be pulling for HoTr so why would hoyoverse add another character which is a must pull , it wouldnt make sense and would make the game more UNF2P friendly for many players. Consequently, it would make more sense for atleast one of the upcoming herrscher for free as imagine wasting crystals on two herrschers on the same patch , that would imply ALOT of stress onto the players and initially people would have to skip for atleast ONE of the upcoming herrschers personally im gonna skip new herrscher HoT and yes HoT is still the best but mobius is extremely versatile i dont think she will ever get out of meta she has been here for a year and she hasnt been kicked off , Mobius in general is a character everybody needs she is the most F2P friendly out of HoT and Aponia , HoT needs handel And 7FT and SS , aponia NEEDS her weapon and she needs a fully geared fischl and eden so thats why i prefer mobius. MA and superstring dimension (abyss) is useless i use mobius nearly EVERY TIME and i always ALWAYS beat fully geared lightning teams with SS HoT teams idk how but even though mobius may not be the best dps SHE HASSS SOOOOOOO MUCH POTENTIAL ITS INSANE u can check people testing all valk general dmg and they compare statistics and you will see mobius will be NUMBER 1 with 10.7 million damage and her burst damage is SOOOOO GOOD vill v mobius and HoHe have the most powerful burst damages in the game so yeah thats my point
