I was not prepared for this performance, people I was waiting for this performance to come out complete but I never expected to see Sohyang singing this song which for me is one of the most beautiful songs in the world, I love this song so much and seeing Sohyang singing it for me was surreal in the first vocals and melodies I couldn't believe it was this song, when she started singing I cried a lot. My heart . . My freaking soul! Just take it, all of it!! This was beautiful. Honestly I’m more surprised I always end up underestimating her. Like I can’t expect any higher but she just does it somehow. I’m a huge fan of the original, infact it’s atleast in my top 3 all time fav Korean songs. But this still did it enough justice. I loved how well the other vocalist did, the emotional vulnerability in his voice was spot on. The only issue I have (definitely nitpicking here) was it just didn’t have that climactic punch, which is pretty much my fav part of the original. Especially knowing So Hyang I came here with sky high expectations, very literally 😅 It seemed like she held herself back by quite a bit. But I can understand why she did it. Afterall with this song if she lets loose, I can’t think of many vocalists that can keep up, not to mention compliment her vocal prowess in those registers. Call me selfish but I feel this song deserves a solo performance by her in all her SlLAYhyang glory. That said, I do like this restrained, chill direction she’s going since early 2020. Those beginagain performances are especially masterful. Though, for specific big songs like this I personally prefer her make-em-heads-roll Queen mode over the candid Angel-next-door one ;)

소향님 소리는 앞으로 꽂히는 소리라 멜로디를 불러야 하는 소리고 우혁님은 퍼지는 소리라 받쳐줘야 어울릴텐데요.. 바뀌어서 멜로디가 앞으로 나오지않고 받치는 소리가 크게 들리니 밸런스가 안맞는거 같은 느낌이 좀 들었으나.. 그래도 역시나 들으면 들을수록 넘 좋으네요~~ㅎ

Sohyang's voice, even though the volume was adjusted to be the same as the male singer's voice. But her voice showed immense power, the explosion of magma almost completely erased the sound of her partner. The technique of the other person hardly shows any skill. That too much vibrato? If this version, she sang a duet with The One or Jung Dongha might be more appropriate. Thanks for reading my comments.
