So you're right. It's blood. Remember, he's hallucinating now a bit. (The butterflies from the C3 placement, etc) So to him, the flowers are stained with the blood of the Boss. He's hurting and gets represented in his reality. The flower changes back to white to show us that it wasn't actually red. So, you were right. Be more confident in your concepts like that. It's been interesting to see you understand more and more of what Kojima is doing the more you play through this.

The Boss, aka White Snake, got the Intel on the Philosopher's Legacy when she was in Tselinoyarsk 2 years prior to the events of this game when she killed The Sorrow.

The child of the boss is revealed through miss-able dialogue earlier in the game, it makes implications and you can figure out who they are.

You remarked on the historical context and accuracy of the Metal Gear games. Generally speaking, the backstory and information about events and places, are quite accurate. It is once the characters of the games ENGAGE with history, that it becomes inaccurate. The atomic testing, mercury program, and Sputnik dialogue are all accurate, but of course Boss wasn’t chosen for the space program. That’s usually how the historical timeline of Metal Gear works.

She’s can move faster I feel because it’s adrenaline, and maybe she’s excited to leave this place finally!! Also maybe her wounds heals better than expected, that she’s able to move; and also felt like moving around since she wasn’t going to get killed from the enemies.

There’s a great video series showing “all secrets and interesting stuff” from MGS2 and MGS3. If you’re interested in “all the Easter eggs you’ve missed,” you could film a reaction video to that. I bet people would love it. I sure would.

I really cannot blame Big Boss for turning his back on the Government for that betrayal at the end. I'd likely do the same 😡

Good stuff man, yeah a lot of stuff is still not to be made sense of. One rather interesting note is that in that credits scroll about the events leading up the cloning project, SIGINT started ARPA/Advanced Research Projects Agency, look up what they changed their name to, or don't, but it's something I realised at the time and is just mind blowing and explained something BIG from MGS1 which you already played. Was real fun seeing this game again, see you again in MGS4 :D

So to further clarify the gesture Ocelot does (as I said in a previous video) he can be seen doing the gesture behind the president in a hidden R1 when shaking your hand. Ocelot reveals he’s a triple agent, who’s been on the side of the US the entire time. If you know when to look, EVA as well as The Boss return the gesture to Ocelot numerous times. Hearing the fact The Boss wasn’t really the villain, EVA being a Chinese spy, and of course our boy Ocelot, that gesture (at least to my interpretation) is a “I see you” type of thing. Every person doing it, is lying about their intentions and who they really are. I truly believe the reason Ocelot kept doing that to Snake, was because he was supposed to be the agent helping Snake (ADAM), hence why I think it’s nothing more than code for “I see you” (much like La-Le-Lu-Li-Lo is actually referring to the Patriots)

Well done! Enjoy the break from metal gear for a bit, but heres a little nonspoiler teaser for mgs4: they took camo but took out having to stop and go into the menu every 20 seconds.

Really enjoyed your MGS playthroughs. Please PLEASE play through 4, Its a really good game. If you dont have a PS3 you can emulate it on RPCS3. Thats how i play it these days.

3 scenes with revolver at end, the one you saw, you shoot ocelot, you dont shoot but picked right. Also you have met the boss' child, he or she would be about 20 in this game.
@StringoYT5 ай бұрын
I’m guessing the boss’s son is ocelot
@tedtheo71315 ай бұрын
@@StringoYT you said it, not me. An ocelot is an animal found in the americas, it was a hint that he was a us spy the whole time. His young age hints at well connected parents (i think the sorrow defected to russia possibly in a similar manner to the boss, and his body is visible during the virtuous mission when healing after you get thrown off the bridge) Enjoy 4 when you get to it, its the end of the saga storywise. Aftet then, there is much to discuss.

Also this is why playing on emulator is a catch22, but glad you got to the end!! if you don’t got the original ps3 copy, and don’t have the console; then I’d say get that. Although if you’ve already got a ps5, I think the master’s collection will be good. The steam version isn’t the best, but probably reasonable for some. I don’t like it, but it’s reasonable enough for nostalgia; and once I get a ps5. I’ll be able to play it on there, but ps3 I may consider; although I feel like it’s better on a ps5 in the sense that I’ll be getting other games with it. There aren’t enough ps3 games that makes me feel like it’s worth it, but I’d rather get it on steam or elsewhere.

You can unequip and equip and your ammo will be reloaded, this goes from mgs-mgs3 they took that feature out for mgs4 to make the reloading more realistic.

The child's identity has been hinted in optional radio calls in this game. He would be around 19 or 20 years old by the time of MGS3. Snake is too old to be the boss's son.

It's also fully confirmed in mgs3 master collection books.

Don't feel too bad about the FPS. Emulation is rather complicated as you are forcing a computer to play hardware it wasn't made for. The PS2 is very well documented and worked on to play many games that's true but simulating the PS2 can only go so far so it helps to have the computer hardware to compensate. It's possible it could just be the game itself as well or it could be on the developers end. I know OG Xbox games in particular have it rough since the GPU is undocumented so they have to reverse engineer it from scratch. In regards to Gen 6 era games I am well aware of the slowdowns many of them have. Some more than others and I just learned to deal with it. I actually find it funny that you mentioned unplayable because MGS3 is listed as Playable on the official compatibility list. As long as it can be played from beginning to end it is listed as that which is the majority of the list. Only about 1 or 2 percent are listed as Perfect, Some I think are bonus feature discs.

This is on the ps3 emulator the hd remaster.I’m not sure if it’s not up to scratch yet my ps2 one usually runs better. I should have just played the og ps2 one.

@@StringoYTYes mate, I wouldn’t consider a spoiler bc although it’s never directly said, there’s plenty of easter eggs in MGS3 that points to the fact and was already common knowledge by the time. Great playthrough, glad i subbed to you. Cheers
