Get your liscence to do foster care @Yasmin , then secure legal counsel. Ask for the boys. Also big hugs. Remember your not responsible for your mothers actions. I know that ish hurts as i also had to mother MY mother. You'd be an amazing mother figure for the boys. But also though dont feel obligated if youre not interested in doing such. Just look at how amazing u turned out given the circumstances. And pray.

I work in foster care and hear about stories like yours/your mom’s so, so often. The system is for sure built for the parents and not in the best interest of the child and it’s hard to learn that over and over again!

You take great care of them and your always there like a parent should be and I'm pretty sure it's the same when the camera is off. Your doing a great job and don't let nobody tell you different. I don’t understand how both of your brothers weren’t immediately given to family??? Why are they in the system? Why does your mother get a choice as to where they go? She didn’t give them a choice when she did drugs 🤨 the system is so messed up… you should have been given the option to take both of them… & your amazing Aunt should have also been given the choice. It’s so messed up your mother even gets a say at this point.

Okay, since these comments don’t seem to understand, I’m gonna explain. This is NOT the appropriate place to comment your opinions about yasmyn’s mom and what should or shouldn’t be done about this situation. A lot of you are trying to be supportive and kind about it but it’s just noooot the time or place to comment about what her mom should do to her body. I’m sure yasmyn has her own feelings about what should be or shouldn’t be done, and she doesn’t need strangers in the internet telling her stuff she already knows. VERY unpopular opinion that's gonna make me sound horrible: people in your moms position who are irresponsible druggies who keep getting pregnant with babies born to that, should have forced hysterectomies. I know, I know, that sounds terrible: but so is multiple babies an abusive drug addict can't and won't take care of that are born addicted/drugs in the system.

You can’t sterilize people forcibly. These are human beings and not farm animals. It starts with people that would be deemed unfit as parents and ends with anyone that doesn’t fit within the mold of society. Also, going through drug addiction is very unfortunate and difficult for all involved. Reducing people with addictions to “druggies” strips them of their humanity. It would be like me labeling you an idiot when you are just a person that means well but has an opinion that lacks empathy and nuance.

@@AllisonBarnes-zg6wd actually my opinion doesn't lack empathy, it's just aimed at the family of this woman and the babies, not the woman continuing to commit the same heinous acts herself. Also, she is a druggie, and she reduced herself to that. I may not know the full story but I know she's had 5 kids now and none of the 5 were raised by her, and all 5 she chose drugs over. I also remember the one decent boyfriend Yaz liked who wasn't into drugs, died of an overdose by her moms side. Any empathy I have for that woman is long gone by her own actions. Some people are beyond help and empathy. Her mom isn't a victim--or at least she's so far gone into being a victim she turned into the villain a LONG time ago. Never forget this is ALSO the same woman that wouldn't give up rights to her son and let the family take him in, preferring him to go with strangers over a power trip. The same woman who wouldn't leave the house Yaz's grandmother tried to sell. You can't have unlimited empathy for someone who doesn't want to make better choices.

Hopefully, the new brother can go with the other brother- to keep them together. Unfortunately, this will keep happening with your mother. I have a friend that has adopted ALL 8 siblings from one mom to keep them together. She has a beautiful family because of it , she was not able to have children otherwise. So, there can be a happy ending for the children. You can’t be your mother’s keeper, you have your family to take care of. 💕

I'm sure my older children (22&24) feel the same way you do about their brother ( 4) they don't have children of their own yet still I'm sure it's a lot to deal with my daughter talks to me but my oldest son doesn't and I struggled yet don't have my youngest and it's so hard and painful!!
