The question in the thumbnail (it was probably satire but here's my lore-obsessed ass anyway) wasn't answered, so I will. John is one of the promotional inklings from the original wii u game, he's the one with the pilot goggles and the blue manbun. Just search up the S1 box art or the smash bros outfits and youll see him, he's pretty stock-standard. (The girl with the orange tentacles that you also see on the box art is Kaori btw.)

@@ItsJustaOreo oh it DOES. there's eight promo kids for every game (except S2 who went up to 10 when Octo Expansion released.) all of them have names, several have canon personality, one might be related to Toni Kensa, and I love them all. I could probably tell you more than my sanity's worth about these kids. Four of the S1 group is in Smash, Kaori twice over.

when u use roller make sure to flick to kill! most weapons have more mobility than you, so they can easily dodge you when you roll. for opponents at long range, use ur vertical flick by pressing b and ZR, and for close range use ur horizontal flick by pressing ZR. you can use these repetitively until the opponent is splatted. i’m not good at explaining stuff, but i am a five star splat roller player so yeah. also, use ur sub weapon (curling bomb) to get around, just make sure you have enough ink!

Okay, I might sound boring or something by saying that but : I advise you to try playing with gyro controls for a little while. It takes some getting used to, but personally it's really easier and more comfortable aiming like that 😁

Stop looking at the ground. Every projectile naturally leaves a trail of paint, you actually paint more ground by looking up at horizon level.

I actually got to it off camera, I had a lot of fun with it but I got so deep into it that I wasn't able to record anything for it, so I unfortunately missed that opportunity. But I do have plans to make up for that.. if everything works out anyways

I'm not gonna lie the online is shit. A lot of lag, disconnection errors and more shit. But tell yourself that, no matter how bad the online is, it's fucking worth it. A lot of people don't say this but like even when you're losing in this game you're having fun, so imagine with connection issues, sure it's annoying even if sometimes it's just unbearable but like most splatoon fans get over it, which sometimes really fucking funny clips.
