Love that you're also a geologist. I too harass all of my hiking buddy's with nerdy explanations of the surrounding geology lol

whats underrated is you knowing your limits, seeing the peak and going "nah mate, ill be right" and going back, a lot of times people with experience think they can do it and push on and sometimes it ends in tragedy ive climbed a lot of mountains in Georgia (country), and Australia and sometimes its okay to just admit you cannot finish it whilst youre slipping, i just imagine the simpson where homer rides the frozen guy down and could only think they need slides from the top, lol also i enjoyed watching your nerding out on your geology excrusion :D

I was so confused when I saw this on my subscriber feed so I skipped to 9:26 and it all clicked, I didn’t know I needed this specific blend of content

Awesome video. From America but lived in Palmerston north for 3 months. Impressive switch from game content to this!

Thanks! I'll probably keep it focused on gaming while I'm in Auckland but you never know. Did you like Palmerston?

When you're so good at zomboid you start narrating IRL as well XD

Degree in geology but deal with water instead, the enemy of all lithified material. Love seeing a personal video outside of the great content you bring with Project Zomboid! Keep it up.

That was awesome. Thanks for taking us along! I've done some epic mountain hikes here in the Yukon, but nothing quite like that! Wonder what the windchill was like at the top there - it must have felt much colder than -11C!

Over the ridge it got bad, prior to then I was already feeling the cold and stopping to take in the summit didn't help either. Glad you liked it!

You didn't seem to pull any zeds while driving, what car mod were you using?
@Alex-Phillips Жыл бұрын
Japanese Imports mod. It was a low pop run and I tried to keep the mods vanilla+ with a focus on wilderness survival (mainly exposure).

I went with a mate who wanted to get me into hiking. They didn't want to be shown on camera or feature heavily which is fair enough.

Pulled out of memory and under duress lol but fair enough. I did some digging and found a paper with the age of the Whanganui basin referenced and I included a KZbin link which goes into more detail as it's a pretty interesting area. I hope you enjoyed the vid despite my chronic lack of references! Reference: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0037073898000979 More Info: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIGsYZyIg7iHnrc
