Seems to be a rare bug, just double check whether the game actually saves your char or not if you're playing offline.

downloaded this recently due to it being very cheap on steam and another channel suggesting the game is good to go now, haven't played it yet, looks like it is going to be... interesting

If you're playing online your char should be saved properly. If you play offline, make a char and then exit to main menu to see if it's still there, then quit the game and restart and check again if it's still there. If yes, you're good to go. If no, either play online instead or try to figure out why the game doesn't save your char before running through the entirety of act 1 like me :D

@@rektbyprotoss Thanks, I will keep that in mind, I don't play multiplayer, so not sure if there is any advantage to playing online... aside from not losing my character apparently

@@rektbyprotoss Just played through the opening up until Stormfall in offline mode, quit out and restarted a couple of times. It does restart in online mode for some reason, but upon switching to offline mode my character is still there, and still at the start of Stormfall.

That's "unfortunate"... I gave up on Wolcen after giving it several chances over the years. Maybe you could instead give "The Ascent" a try. It's an Isometric-ARPG embedded in a cyberpunk setting with a lot of fancy weapons and overall descent character customisation. And the visuals are freaking top notch. Yea this was like the 4th chance I gave wolcen aswell...it just... I don't even know man... never fails to disappoint in some way or form.

The ascent is more of a story driving adventure than creation build and character progression. Ive tried and love it but once you finish the campaign, you have prety much done 90% of the content

Maybe search your hd for a file with your character name in windows...maybe its somewhere.

God damn, it deleted the offline characters when it swapped to online? That's...not good.

nah it just didn't even bother saving the char in the first place apparently when exiting the game...

Literally any other game properly saves a character when using local offline saves except Wolcen.
