@erik Most Trap or Trap-inspired Hip-Hop in general isn't that hard. A good rapper can easily carry your track anyway. The big thing for trap is just nailing the basics. If you can nail a basic trap sound, you're like 90% of the way to a legit track. Just find your niche sound, throw in a producer tag, and you can probably convince plenty of rappers to pay for the beat.

I love this genre (specifically drift phonk) just for the fact the community has associated it with underground car racing/drifting. The beat aspect, tied with the reeses and (normally) memphis rap samples, just make you want to shred tires, or just cruise, everytime you listen.

It’s more that the car scene has made it associated with drifting and hard driving. The “chill phonk” scene is much larger than the purely cowbell melodies and distorted 808s.

There is more to phonk than cowbells and overused 30 year old memphis samples. I understand you have to make a living doing this however it is extrememly disrespectful to many reputable phonk producers who have shaped the genre in the past 10 years. Perhaps if you do more *research* on phonk's history from other places than TikTok for knowledge, you might have another video that isn't spreading this canerous trend.
