@scottbenner7447 Жыл бұрын
Shouting over another person, interrupting them, and not allowing them to respond is not 'taking control of a conversation", it is Russell Brand just telling the world that what he is saying is more important than another person's opinion. What you did was about the rudest action since Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. Where has the social decorum gone in this country? Mr. Wilson asked you to name one example and you kept avoiding and avoiding his question. Because you couldn't answer his question. People like Russell Brand do not care about the subject they are talking about, they care more about the fact that they can just keep talking. It makes them relevant. And Bill Mahar just sat there like a stoner, confused and daized, not saying a word while this know-nothing a-hole totally disrepected his guest and his show by allowing it to continue.

I have faith that one day, the power which these liars and schemers took from the people, will return to the people. When that day comes, I hope people of all different political beliefs and perspectives can come together without bad-faith (which these people have spread) and see the humanity within each other- and through reason and discernment, find a better world together. Are the 3 comments above mine written by machine? They make no reference to the content of Russell's video. The whole point of this video is that American news is owned by the corporations which are then using the news as propaganda to fleece American people. The corporations own the news, so the message you're getting is not in your interest because they want you unknowingly handing over your money to them. There's no left or center media in the USA. There's no media which represents the interests of the people. You don't have democracy just look at the media for proof that you don't have democracy.

@@Archeidos-Arcana Cheers from a moderate libertarian. We need more people who believe in totally different ideals able to talk about them, understand each others points of view and still have a civil discourse and walk away and not think a hateful thought about the other person. At least you know right from wrong. Many socialists don't even seem to understand what socialism or communism even is lol - the first thing I always ask them to do in a debate is define communism or something to that effect and I never hear the actual definition: an economic system where the state/The People owns the means of production and what they produce. It's very simple and it's also an ECONOMIC system that everyone thinks is a political system - you can have an entire debate about the merits and detractors of capitalism and communism and other economic systems as well without even bringing politics into it imo. I'm into separating ideas from people, but the left in the media and in politics don't want to do that - they want to paint everyone by one broad stroke and base everything on immutable characteristics like race/sexuality and identity, and its produced more divisiveness in this country than Ive ever seen. I'm hispanic but my boyfriend is white and he gets really down somedays just because we live in a society where white men are treated like the bottom of the barrel... 75 years ago they saved the world from Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan... they invented the internet, the computer, the car, the plane, electricity... they hung steel from sky and built the great cities of this country and there are over 100 million of them still here and imo its a really really bad idea to label whole groups as inherently racist and evil like the media constantly does... it's caused so much division and imo its a bad faith argument.

The United Kingdom also has a 2 party system. They have had a 2 party system from before the time of the American Revolution. The United Kingdom is a constitutional monarchy in which the reigning monarch (that is, the king or queen who is the head of state at any given time) does not make any open political decisions. All political decisions are taken by the government and Parliament. Russell Brand talks about U.S. Tax payers and the 4 words everyone uses to complain about where the American taxes go towards. The Military Industrial Complex. When part of that Complex is the United Kingdom protecting him. U.S. Air Force as well as U.S. Navy. The United Kingdom has it's own military industrial complex. It is the 6th largest in the world. Not bad for one Island. The complex in Britain, as elsewhere, has three core components: the military, the civil service and the corporations. Exactly the same as the United States. First of all your taxes go to the Federal Reserve Bank to pay the interest towards the national debt. The Federal Reserve Bank is not owned by the United States Government. The people of the United Kingdom pay a lot more taxes than the American Taxpayers. The British Taxpayers pay for their news by way of a TV License they pay this for every TV in their home rather than one household one license. The British people also pay poll tax window screen tax and bedroom tax. So if for instance you live in a home with 4 bedrooms and your family is two adults two children you will be taxed on the room nobody sleeps in. British people also pay taxes on their groceries this is already included in the price of goods. On luxury items such as a Car, Jewelry, Perfume, Tabacco, and liquor. They pay a Value added Tax or VAT. The United Kingdom has never had a written constitution embodied in a single document. The United Kingdom has never had a written constitution embodied in a single document. The foundational document is the Magna Carta: Wich King John was forced to sign after being Confronted by 40 rebellious barons, he consented to their demands in order to avert civil war. in the year 1215. Russell Brand talks about U.S corporations, and the media Russell Brand is part of the corporation Rumble wich is publicly traded. He is part of the corporate media. Whenever the left or the right. Starts talking about the military defense spending. They seem to forget one thing. The Government is the single largest employer in the U.S. economy. I think before Russell Brand starts calling out the United States as the Pot he should look at his own black Kettle.

What I've understood is that in inside sayyy.. 6ish years Maher's political views have changed quite a lot. I think he used to be very left leaning for what left used to be in 90's to 2010 and some years onwards. He defininetly isn't with the new more extreme left leaning ideology where it has gone but there have been hints he has actually not stayed on the positions he have held but gone far more right from that. Which would be ok but he makes his money from being kinda somewhere in between what left/right would be now so he won't go and just say what he truly thinks about certain things these days.
