I love Pokemon and always will, but the lawsuit is bull. Nintendo filed for the patent AFTER Palworld released and then waited until their devs had built up some money to take and then filed the lawsuit... If it had really been about it 'looking like' Pokemon, they have no grounds because Pokemon gen 1 looks just like Dragon Quest back in the day.

Part of the problem with Nintendo suing Palworld is the mechanic that allows players to catch the pals. By doing this it allows other companies to patent their own game mechanics which doesn't allow for much games to be made, and considering the huge line of games coming out, it might not turn out good for most games if Nintendo wins. Just saying. Like if Fortnite patented the battle pass or some other things like mantling, SO MANY games are going to be fucked

No you're right, there was another comment explaining it but the TL;DR is Nintendo patented the concept of throwing a ball at something and then something happens (no joke) and now they trying to sue Palworld for having those game mechanics despite patenting AFTER Palworld came out, but if Nintendo wins it'll be bad news for future of game since various companies will start patenting their mechanics

The biggest complaint I had about TwitchCon *was the goddamn WiFi,* in that I was literally forced every day to use expensive-ass data roaming packages while sparingly using the bought data to surf on the Internet. Add in the very uncomfortable floors & honestly, my sheer gigachad will to do the M&G's I had set up was working overtime. Didn't get to do my Sunday M&G with Puffer due to being viciously hungover from the block party but catching Puffer, Pezzy, Grizzy & Droid outside the Con on Thursday during early badge pickup was worthwhile asf. 😂❤
