The problem is they removed a main power on him while not addressing the shortcomings of his other power. So yea, you have slice and dice more now, but slice and dice was never particularly good on it's own, only combo'd with scamper for a scamper into a slice and dice. I don't know why they felt the need to nerf chucky when basically noone plays him because of how clunky he feels after his flick removal and now they proceeded to make him even more clunky. He's now the only 110 killer who hasn't got a consistent power for pallets.

BHVR will always randomly nerf things that never needed touching, they buff by 0.1 seconds and Bs that does literally nothing, but when it comes to killer nerfs they will go as ham as they please.

The solution that have for this killer is to remove chunky ability to m1 when in hidey-ho mode because being about to scamper and get a free hit makes him uncounterble and that is the reason why chunky was nerf in the first place. Or make it so after he scampers a window or pallet he can't m1 and only m2 but I entirely understand why bhr nerf him because I had played him and I don't need to play survivor to know that it's uncounterble.

Either bring back scamper without having to use slice and dice but make it take longer to slide under or increase the manoeuvrability of slice and dice after scampering after slice and dice to compensate for not being able to use scamper freely outside slice and dice. Like you can’t just take away a part of his ability and restricting it to an ability that already has a very limited turning… Or just make his slice and dice duration longer and it lunges even further than now to at least catch up to survivors after breaking a pallet. Overall bad change…

I really like the idea of giving unlimited turn rate for like 0.75 seconds after the scamper. (Similar to billy at the start of chainsaw) I feel like this could potentially have some actually fun counterplay to it as it'd mean that if you run the long side of the loop after he scampers, Chucky has a good chance of getting a hit. But if you predict the scamper quick enough you can run around the short side, letting you get around a corner so he misses the slice and dice.

Im sorry man but it you think these are bad changes thats a bit delusional are you part faster cooldown so you’re undetectable longer they also compensated the scamper removal by giving him a much faster window vault plus him having a shorter cooldown gives him at least more map control, the only they could do is increase the turn rate when slice and dice a window or a pallet.

@@Notwedsquid the thing is, is that 1) His map traversal is below average because he's 110, using slice&dice for mobility is useless. I tested it, just walking around the map and using dash whenever possible makes no difference in reaching from point A to point B, so I don't understand how his map traversal is better. 2) His stealth is moot at best, laughing gives away his presence. Faster recharge feels nice, but nerfed scamper negates all the buffs he got imo

Nah fr. Tiffany might be hard to hear because she doesn't Snicker and laugh, she silently giggles more like it. But Chucky is so easy to hear it's not funny. And he can't even flick anymore so it's really easy to dodge the slice and dice if he just started doing it and you are around some debris.

I think his giggle audio cues when in stealth is way too much. It completely gives away you're approaching and that's why the survivors were running off so early.

Every stealth killer has loud audio queues so you know when they are approaching. Ghostface cape is insanely loud, pig uncrouch/roar, wraith has the loudest ambient noise in the game + bell. It’s not unique to chucky.

Scamper didn't really have any counter play nor a penalty for using it. It works just like legion except that you can down survivors with it. I don't think that it's is on bhr since I think in my personal opinion he is strong due to his height and 3rd person advantage.

It's a killer which it's power doesn't hang on the survivors hand, changed the play style and had a bit of mind game in it. With basic scamper gone, without slice and dice, there is no mind game. You already know he will scamper cause of his Telegraphed attack (you know, he screams while charging it). Chucky was always performing worse in jungle Jim's which was his weakness, but people was too slow to figure that out. Also, stop with the excuse of his height when there is a big red light telling you where he was... Specially those players using those weird filters facilitating you that even more. The mindset that a killer should "never" catch you on a 1v1 or that you have to be able to counter it in every single situation is the problem with survivors. But they also forget that there is 4 of them and you have to do this 12 times to win in less than five minutes (looking at the insane gens speed, which has been critically made more apparent how problematic gens speeds are with the perk shuffle mode and you bringing zero slow Gen regression perks)

they did another nerf to him, he now has a short 1 sec cooldown on Slice and Dice eachtime he cancels the charge, this is kinda bad for me atleast since i would sometimes cancel to reposition but now you'll be in a cooldown and it screws up your timing.

With the reduced cooldown, it's also possible to use his Slice and Dice for a bit of mobility. Since it's 12 seconds you'll have your power back when finding someone. Doing that with the 18 second cooldown was to risky.

I swear I get the WORST surviovor teammates in solo. Don't do gens. Don't hook save. Go down fast. Rage quit. So its hard for me to rank up when my team can't do one gen and all I've done is run the entire match. Let me play killer though and I get efficient gens, quick unhooks, hook sabotages, flash light saves, flash bang saves, pallet stuns, excellent loopers, every second chance perk in the game and the list goes on and on. Im doomed no matter which side I play. I used to be good with any killer I picked. Now I'm thankful when I draw a match. If im lucky 1 in 10 games will be a 4k.

This happens because the difference between solo survivor and swf is gigantic. This game has always had the problem of excessive imbalance towards swf teams, if you play a medium strength killer, like the Clown, Deathslinger, Ghosty for example, you will lose every single game you play against a swf team. They talk to each other, they communicate your position for the entire duration of the game, they counter everything you do because they have perks combined in such a way that they always know how to beat you.

I’m a Chucky main, and I find these changes super unnecessary. He doesn’t need a nerf or buff. Bhvr just should keep him as he always was, since he was one of the more balanced killers they ever made. Scamper is now pretty useless, and it made a few add ons go from A-C tier, to bottom D or F. I hope these changes don’t go to live servers, since they will have to revert or change many add ons to compensate for removing one of his most powerful aspects

He was not balanced at all having his power be able to guarantee hit on most loops is not fair or balanced Guaranteed hits should not be in the game, there always should be some equal and opposite input yes the killer should be more powerful as it’s their power but you can’t have it where the survivor has no counterplay I know this is rarely the case but that what balance means demo is the most balanced (ish) killer and there is a counter and benefit to his entire kit Scamper needed changing, did they do it in a weird way? yes but was something needed? So please tell the devs to remove: Deathslinger, Blight, Nurse, Doctor, Huntress, Demogorgan, Trickster, Spirit, Nemesis, Wesker, Twins, Pyramid Head, Oni, Billy and the unknown. I hate this logic because it is so brain dead and straight up illogical. Also, Demo does not have a counter when good players use him. Just look up “Monster kill” and you will see how “broken” he is (even tho he isn’t). The fact that his scamper needs to be reverted, is because this is his only good aspect. His map pressure is terrible. He has no map control and can only use his power for looping. The fact that you now have to slice and dice to go under a pallet, kills his entire purpose of his power. I can agree to remove the fast vaults on windows, but not on pallets. Sure, he’s annoying to play against, but that doesn’t mean he needs a nerf. He has counter plays, and it is so frustrating that many people ignore this fact. If he’s about to use slice and dice after vaulting; go around corners and prioritize to determine his movement. “BuT wHaT iF hEs aBoUt tO gEt a GuaRaNteEd hIt”. Blight and Nurse can also get hits where there is no counter play, but they are fine, and so are other killers, right?

Scamper being gutted is terrible. Like it was mentioned in this video Chucky has little to no map pressure other than being able to stealthily get across it if he chooses to use his power. His strength was the chase and to take away his gameplay flow is RIDICULOUS. IT cannot go live just like the twins in they’re overpowered state on the PTB shouldn’t and did not go live.

They completely gutted my main 😭 it's not even that when I would scamper I would get free hits at times, it's that when I would be scampering I would usually cover more distance and most likely cut off a survivor that way 🤷 and seriously if survivors can't hear Chucky or Tiffany literally making a slight scream and making a vaulting sound while going underneath a dropped pallet seriously need to get their senses checked out. Not even vaulting was a good idea at the time because Chucky and Tiffany are 4.4 movement speed so they can't really catch up to the survivor if they make a scamper vault and the survivor is at a good loop. They took away the flicking and now they took away a good part of the power, what's next? They are going to start nerfing the add-ons? I get it they don't want a licensed killer to be better than nurse 🤷 y'all saw what happened to Freddy

Chucky is well overrated indeed. The Asians got it right rating him lower. As per usual casuals from the western nations are being catered to. At high MMR, gens are always the focus. Fast gens = lose. Chucky can't control gens. Anyone who argues differently, fine, no hate, you are just in low MMR or playing casually. It's not an insult, it's just that these ppl should not have an opinion on it. The only reason Chucky is weak, is cause casuals keep screaming "AWWMGRD OP!"

No one talks about how braindead that strat is vs most killers. Wheres the skill expression in that? The killer spends like 80% of the match just breaking pallets not even actually playing the game until the entire map is deadzoned which by that time 3 gens are done and the last 2 are both at 50%. I think the better way they could’ve dealt with scamper was to make it to where you couldn’t m1 after you scampered and you would have to use your power still after the scamper to get a hit. Essentially it would make it ti where you needed to actually be good at utilizing scamper and slice and dice together rather than just scamper a pallet and just m1.

They basically made him unplayable in my opinion scamper was a good way to combo into slice and dice. Now that is gone they basically made him a m1 killer. They need to buff his turn rate to be viable.
