He fights Sukuna who is now missing 3 out of 4 hands, has 50% of his CE capacity and he is doing it with help of several other sorcerers, not forgettin about the fact that he also has brain damage from Unlimited Void so he is forced to do wonky binding vows to keep up. Stop acting like Yuji, or even Yuta and everyone else combined, would survive against Sukuna that Gojo fought. They all would be dead in 1 chapter or 3 max. Yuta confirms this himself when he thinks to himself that if it wasn't for Gojo severely weakening Sukuna, then all of them would eat dirt already.

I think he’s special grade simply for the reason that he’s made it this far in the fight. He’s the only one that has been scrapping with sukuna since after kashimo. All first grades have died or have been injured heavily extremely quickly. The only exception is ino, and that’s because he knew his role.

It's a bit complicated defining who fits the description for being a "Special Grade" sorcerer, and it's because people don't make the distition between a Special Grade level fighter and someone who fits the official Jujutsu society's system definition of "Special Grade", which according to Kenjaku is someone capable of overthrowing a country, whether physically or politically/socially. Ryu, Uro, Uraume, Maki, Yuji and some other characters at their tier of power are as strong or stronger than Geto or Yuki but would still not fit the description in my opinion, one of them can create an entire army of curses and the other generate enough mass to cause mass (😉) destroction. This is why a character like the principal Yaga, wich is not touching any of those, was at one point almost considered a "Special Grade", since he could have potentially created an army of hundreds if not thousands of puppets of the level of Panda (Grade 1).

Great video! A few minor corrections: - Yuji isn't a Death Womb Panting, only his brothers are. (Death Womb Paintings are named for a specific art piece about the stages of decay, and Yuji isn't part of that.) He might still be half curse, but it's technically unconfirmed. Either way, a half-curse it just a half-curse, while the Death Womb Paintings are cursed objects made from the fetuses of half-curses. - Yuji gained the ability to create blood from cursed energy from eating his siblings, and doesn't have that ability naturally. This is solely an application of his ability to acquire abilities by eating cursed objects. - Yuji's ability to strike the soul isn't a cursed energy trait, it's just good aim. His time as a vessel combined with Yuki's research has given him the ability to target the soul. Maki (who can see souls) and Sukuna (who was also a vessel) can do the same. Even Ui Ui can target the soul, despite only having Yuki's research for guidance. - We don't know how Yuji absorbs things by eating them yet. It might be an application of Shrine, it might be because he's half-curse, and it might be because of a weird heavenly restriction messing up how eating cursed objects normally goes. We don't have the full picture, we just know Kenjaku did it on purpose.

no he's not, yuji is not anywhere close to maki or toji's level as they dominate him in every physical state level. Soul attacks aren't the best against them as they can visualise the soul and they have higher durability then even people like yuta who are stronger then yuji. Stop over hyping yuji everything he's gained thus far does not compensate for how maki and toji are counters for 99% of the abilities in the jjk verse purely by their presence alone. Yuji right now is only fairing based on help from others and incredibly favourable circumstance. If you put him in any other situation he isn't landing a hit on sukuna let alone toji and maki whos speed has been demonstrated to be equal if not faster then 15f sukuna who yuji ain't beating. He has enough durability and healing to tank most attacks in the series except for obvious big finishers. Yorozu without Perfect Spere gets clapped and Kenjaku beats him along with Yuta. But his speed is def only below Gojo and Sukuna right now. None of the four mentioned can outpace him, especially now after his blackflash amp. I think Yuji power up through the series makes sense (as it was explained through the last few chapters) his growth is exponential and he becomes as strong as the challenge needs him to be, which is a dangerous line writing wise. JJK plays on that line all the time, Sukuna is also written that way with almost too perfect special and secret skill to every new situation. I love JJK but it often appears to be either exponential growth, and straight up plot armor.

well in yuji's defense, a domain expansion is based on your cursed technique, and yuji kinda just got a cursed technique a month ago. So if he hasn't even mastered the cursed techniques he just gained, theres no chance in hell he could make a domain expansion with said cursed techniques at this point. I think in the future he very likely would be able to make a domain expansion, but first needs to gain mastery over either blood manipulation / shrine (or even both) before attempting to do so.

weird thing is in episode 1 of the dubbed jujutsu kaisen (might be unreliable due to localization but im too lazy to use the japanese version myself), it's said that yuji can run 50 meters in 3 seconds and also faster than megumi's car, which i think should be some decently high speed idk lol edit: watched more of the anime and i have a couple of things to note (spoilers incoming) 1. this dude manages to hit mahito so hard he HITS HIS SOUL through raw strength and cursed energy, right after junpei got transfigured 2. he manages to break into mahito's domain with little to no cursed energy. i know it isn't super hard to break into one but this combined with other feats is pretty notable 3. right as kasumi casted her simple domain (mind you, he was getting rushed from every side and had little time to react), this dude dodged it with NO damage. bro got them op reaction times (you could say speed here but it's kinda established that this dude has lightning speed anyway with the fact above and below) 4. just before he started fighting todo, he threw a punch at him (i think it was embed with cursed energy) that even todo got shocked by. mind you, this is the same guy that dashed while holding megumi through several stories of a construction sites in less than 15 seconds (maybe not but close enough) 5. during the semi-spar battle against todo after befriending him, while throwing punches, even todo ends up having to block (and using the sound you can hear that his punches are pretty hefty too), and not only that but todo also comments that yuji is slightly stronger than him despite his small body, i think this might just establish his strength is that of todo (possibly even more) and endurance of 60^10 brick walls mind you, all of this is very early into the anime and the only thing he knows about is divergent fist and how to channel cursed energy, no cleave, no black flash, no blood manipulation, none of that. just raw strength and cursed energy . give him more time to learn cursed energy, techniques, etc etc? dude would turn the power system into 10 levels and STILL be special grade, even at the time of me watching the anime i still think he's decently 1st grade, buuut im sure as i advance i can definitely call him special grade edit numero 2: just finished the manga (up to chapter 261 of writing), and uhhhhhh yeah i'm pretty sure i was nearly right, he's RRREEEEEAAAALLLYYYY strong
