Good luck!! You’re going to need fast and easy access to the bathroom once you start your prep. Frankly the prep was the hardest part. The procedure is fast and easily tolerated for most. Plan on coming home and sleeping it off. You’ll feel clean as a whistle!!

The colonoscopy is not bad at all. They give you meds. You go to sleep and have the best nap of your life! The worst part is the prep, and you get the benefit of having a clean gut. I am 75 and have had several. I never mind .

Now that I'm 70 years old, I'm doing the at-home stool sample first. If there is a bad result to that test, I will get a colonoscopy. They get dangerous past a certain age. I've had many when I was younger.

I am glad you are getting your colonoscopy! My brother did not have a colonoscopy until after he had colon cancer. It is a miracle he didn’t die. Now he preaches having your colonoscopy regardless of any awareness of something being wrong. I hated mammograms but I am so thankful that I had them yearly. 2 years ago a spot was detected. I had stage 1 cancer in both breasts. Double mastectomy but no need for radiation or chemotherapy! Be proactive 🤗. Sending hugs❣️

Well said Brooke, everyone should be tested. I am a colon cancer survivor and early detection is key. The prep is the hardest part. I like to Chase the Everclear with a sip of 7 up are sprite. It helps delete the taste..good luck...Just tell yourself it better than chemo...you've got this

I have had 3 colonoscopies because my dad had colon cancer but luckily never found anything. You are right about the taste of the prep. I always found Jello to be my friend. The actual procedure is not bad but it is great when it is over. Keep up the good work on the videos I look forward to them.
