I am so glad that you addressed the gap with the top panel. There has been a lot of people with the same issue…me including so it’s reassuring that you included it. A lot of people on Reddit have blamed it on user error, but hopefully w this video NCase recognizes and addresses the problem.

User error, no. But It can be fixed tho! Just adjust the top fan/radiator bracket a bit, so loosen the screws and bring the front and backside a bit closer, then retighten. If not, do the same for the frame screws. Just make sure the side panels still fit. If you ask me they could have made it a bit more sturdy. I got an old Caselabs BH7, which has 4 long and narrow brackets on each corner to pull the top sides together for perfect fitment. Mine is completely gapless with a bit of finesse.

@@ChrispyAvocadoSF1000 is the newest SFX sized from Corsair. You're thinking of the SF1000-L, which is SFX-L & actually worse in terms of fan noise (funny enough). The SF1000 & the Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 1000w Platinum ATX 3.1 are currently the best true SFX sized PSU's on the market. Both use the same GreatFalls PSU components insides. The Coolermaster 1100 is actually a worse unit overall than both of those & can't reach the peak wattage (1250w+) those can. The connectors are ugly as hell too on the CM lol, making it not true SFX.

So we're pretty much at the same point. My case came in today and it's sitting to the side, assembled and empty. I've purchased the new 1000w corsair sf power supply as I don't trust cooler master for anything. I've chosen the 9900x/9800x3d or maybe even the 9900x3d (if it's cheap enough) as my cpu but I'm waiting for a good mobo to come out (the gigabyte one you showed isn't... anywhere I can see at least) Also, odd idea but I was thinking about getting the side mounted aio board for ssd mounts >.>

Man, I can't believe the parts availability issues. I got lucky because I was looking at a build back on September and landed on using this case and finding the components that would fit. Being patient at this point is your strength. I love my Cooler Master V1100 SFX Platinum since I was able to finagle a classic set-up (room in case due to small PSU) and still have room for an AIO and two fans at the top. Love this case and enjoyed the build. Hell, I did it twice. First with AIO on top and riser cable for GPU. Then, I did the classic build with AIO on side. Thermals where better for me and I didn't end up with ugly gaps in the back of the case. Enjoy the build. I equate it to Legos but much more expensive.😂

I think that you shouldn't go with coolermaster PSU, they're incredibly loud and prone to coil whine and don't have sleeved cables(high return rate is also a thing)... the new Corsair SF1000 have all that and you will never need more wattage than that! Btw, although new intels cpus are mid their new ITX boards are far better than AM5 boards... brands are catching up that no one's buying intel and probably will release better ones for AM5... hopefully...

In pretty much the same boat. Just got my grater, have a 9800x3d build I keep tweakingwith the Asus mobo cause I'm used to working with them. Really wish there were more mother blard options for itx. Going back and forth on buying the Corsair PSU ahead of the rtx5000 announcement - definitely worried about fit and a new connector but can also see a rush to buy components after the announcement. Let alone what tariffs might do. Looking forward to seeing your proces man!

Hey! I have a question about the glass panel. I'm going with the asrock b6503 itx mobo and it has an option for the asrock side panel which is a screen inside the case. I'm wondering what the dimensions are on the glass panel? Also, if you're looking for a 9800x3d, I'd suggest checking microcenter out on tuesdays and thursdays. apparently thats when shipments come in and i was able to get one this past tuesday

The glass panel is 13 3/4” x 9.5” inch with about a 0.5” inch border

4:15 It's polycarbonate or plexi-glass, rather shocked they didn't go with an actual glass panel, even the budget N200P case has glass. Must be a manufacturing issue. Also plexi-glass takes a huge amount of effort to break vs glass, wouldn't worry about damage.

@@NeuralVoidSolutions depends on the orientation you run, you also wouldn’t use the side radiator bracket if you use the glass panel. One of the 3D print files is a 120/140mm fan bracket to mount to the front only possible with the Grater variant allowing air flow from the front.

@chrisrussellcaАй бұрын
Honestly you should decide on your CPU before looking at motherboard. Intel is a couple years out for an actual contender to AMD. Unless you plan to save a few bucks and risk a 14900K. Honestly you should consider the 9800X3D or 9900X, both 120W parts and can be booked easily in the M2
@ChrispyAvocadoАй бұрын
hey Chris I like your content you covered on the M2, also the 7 9800x3d is hard to find at MSRP right now last time i checked. So is the Core Ultra 9 285k, then i would really want a 9 9800x3D which is rumored to drop soon. I watched you first video before my recent m2 grater build and enjoyed it. But this here bro… you lost touch with what the m2 is about with the glass panel. If you want a itx case with a glass panel, there’s only like 500 of them on Amazon to choose from. There’s a reason why when you google pics of a m2 grater with a glass panel nothing shows up. Because it’s counterintuitive to purchase a $250 case that’s built around a minimalistic styling, with functionality and cooling in mind, wait 4-8 weeks for it to be delivered. Only to turn it into an expensive NR200 lookalike. You’ll see once you finish this thing your gpu will be choked up because unlike the stock cnc panel, it can’t breathe. I also purchased an extra side panel bracket because I was unsure whether or not I was going to go with an AIO or air cooled. Went with a noctua d12l and it performs exceptionally well with the 9800x3d. Throw the case feet in the garbage, both angled and round are trash. I put some silicone acoustic feet made for audio equipment and speakers. They absorb any vibrations from the fans, seems silly but trust me. Also if you plan to game at all, just go amd. This is coming from someone who’s last 6 builds over the past 11 years have been intel. If you REALLY need usb4 for the transfer speed (40gbps) for video stuff that’s fine and all but the fact that you mention it like it’s a deciding factor is wild because all 800 series motherboards come with them standard. Gen5 nvme is a way bigger deal imo. Feel free to check out my post from yesterday on r/ncase if you have any questions or you just wanna see my build. 🫶🏻
@ChrispyAvocadoАй бұрын
@@Dope_Operator hey, thanks for your input. I also bought most of the accessories more to showcase it IRL compared to on the NCASE website in case someone was actually interested in the accessories. Plus it is nice to have just in case my build evolves in the future. That’s also why I got the most expensive variant and waited for the rarer silver color all content for you guys lol. As for the MBs both platforms have Gen 5 nvme, but understand USB4 < THUNDERBOLT 4 power delivery wise and data transfer minimum. Then the Intel ITX boards have more then 2 m.2 slots plus 5G Ethernet I think that at least when it comes to the motherboards it is a valid consideration. Like I mentioned I’m curious to see what new AM5 MB start including with the release of all the new hardware.
