With the monsoons approaching, how can we prepare for the heavy rains and minimise the effects of it on the plants. Thermocol boxes or the boxes which are used to store fishes also comes handy while growing plants... my mom mostly use those for growing vegetables on terrace. Those are cheap in fact sometime free of cost and looks fine one can paint it also to make it look pretty.

My jugaad pots are the food deliver containers. Drainage holes using a solder iron and the lid becomes cover till sprout. Later the lid becomes base dish to keep flooring underneath clean.

I have been loosing my indoor plants whenever I plant them in plastic pots due the lack of evaporation of water because it stays for a longer time in them and I haven't been overwatering them .On the other hand terracotta pots in my opinion are the best because they help in evaporation of water anyway better than a plastic one. Movability of these pots can be achieved by buying plant trolleys for them. I got it made for most of my plants from a blacksmith . I have terracotta pots of 10,12,14 and 18 inches .
