I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your cherished piggies, I’m not a Guinea pig owner for me it’s always been cats. No matter what the pet the loss is the same, I’ve said goodbye to 5 cats over my lifetime and know personally losing any animal is extremely painful. It’s the hardest part about being a pet owner. I'm also a cat parent who has lost 5 kitties (I used to have pigs also though). Always so sad to lose a kitty. I try not to dwell on it for too too long and take the opportunity to bring a new shelter cat into the home when I'm ready. There's so many cats out there in shelters that need good homes; it's heartbreaking. Edited because I noticed the kitty in your profile picture. So cute! One of my cats is all black with just a smudge of white on his chest.

Two of the cats I owned were ferals i rescued socialised and brought into my own home, one lived to the age of 22 the other 15. At one point I was feeding upwards of 40 feral cats a day but unfortunately this didn’t go down too well with my neighbours

Ah one of the cats I have now I found outside. He was an approximately 8 week old kitten found all alone. He didn't take too long to socialize though since he was so young. He went from hating us to loving us in about 8 hours. 😄 My Mom used to feed a small feral colony a long time ago and had the same issue with neighbors. This was before TNR was really a thing, so they were always having kittens. She eventually had to give them to a lady that housed feral cats. These cats were actually pretty friendly though since we were always interacting with them.

My profile picture was my most recent loss, I lost her and my big male in the space of a month, I think that was probably the worst loss I went through because I wasn’t expecting it. Her name was Tabatha and she was 16 I lost her 4 years ago and said no more. That lasted but a few months and I now have another long haired tortoiseshell tabby named Autumn

Awww she was beautiful. Sorry for your lose. She had a nice long life. Lost my calico to cancer at 16 years old. I currently have 3 cats. Would love one more, but my boyfriend is not happy with that idea. 😄 I've always wanted an all white cat, so if I find an all white cat around the same age as my 3 boys that likes other cats, it's going to be hard to resist. There was a beautiful one at the shelter recently, but unfortunately he did not get along with other cats.

I am so glad to see there is an alternative way to house piggies these day!! A million and five years ago I raised them. But had to give it up as I got allergies so bad. I thought it was to the piggies but later learned I have tree allergies. Back then , the only thing you could house them in was pine shavings! There is hope for future ownership now!! My hamster Dorian(he's my pfp) passed away last summer and it broke me, I still can't talk about him a lot, think about him a lot or even draw him without feeling heartbroken. I’m so so sorry for the loss of your two piggies. 😔💔 I lost my pregnant rescue piggy April 23rd and we were devastated. She had pregnancy toxemia. She seemed totally healthy otherwise, but I suspect that she was an older girl. Our other 5 piggies are all doing well, thankfully. These sweet piggies may be small but they sure mean a whole lot to us. ❤

I am so sorry that you had to go through that. I have been through losing a piggy myself. I had rescued a female from a friend of mine and i named her Willow. My friend wasnt able to take the time to care for her properly and realized it. When i took her in she was around 5 to 7 already so i knew i wouldnt have her for too long but i spoiled her till the very end. She had been through a couple homes that just werent good places so she was very timid but super sweet. She would never bite. If she didnt like something the most she ever did was place her teeth on your hand. Never truly bit or even really nipped. She was my first piggy and am going to get more. But none will ever be the same as her❤

Thanks for this. I just lost my two pigs over the course of two months - I had a very strong connection with both of them, they had wonderful personalities and I was struggling to process it. It really helped to hear your perspective and understand that these things happen when they happen. Luckily I was able to give my boys a great life and I like to think they are now reunited and sprinting around together.

Dear Austin, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of little Jojo. I saw the video made by Scott H of Scotty's Animals when he received your package and am glad to know that the two of you are in contact with each order. You are not amazing piggy daddies and are great benefits to the world of Guinea pigs. I wish I could send you a gift. When Scotty lost two of his piggies a few years ago I had a wonderful piggie artist send him a memorial to them. I would like to do the same for you but am really put, having doesn't most of the last year homeless. I had two piggies and two hamsters when I lost my apartment and my sister took them in. All for passed while they were with her and I'm still grieving. I still have my cats, though. I wanted to wish you my sympathies for the loss of Jojo, especially when you thought he was getting better and then he took a bad turn. It was also wonderful to see Fifi and Ariel again, and I'm glad you kept them. Ariel looks amazing! Stay golden my friend! Those darling plushies also made me cry. You deserve the love. Oh Austin I'm so so sorry for your loss of Jojo and Dove😔😔❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹. I originally had 3 piggies all 3 were sisters and they all past from cancer the fist one at 4 months, second at 1 yr and my 3rd little girl hung on for almost 3 yrs but lost her battle earlier this year with her herd grooming her and staying by her side the whole time. It was so beautiful and touching and her herd still misses her I'm sure. I'm happy Dove was with Dorothy for her final moments. My heart goes out to you guys.

I’m sorry for your loss ❤️‍🩹When you said all the good ones go first, I really felt that. This happens all too often. I don’t have Guinea pigs but I do have chooks and turkeys. It’s gotten to the point if my heart is taken up so much by one of my animals, it’s almost like I’m not allowed to love something so much and they pass. Not always the case but a reminder life is only temporary. What gets me through besides time and acceptance is believing all of my babies will be with me in heaven someday. I’m also not afraid to keep loving even if it means loss and heartache. Even when you said it doesn’t matter how small they are, I agree. At the very least or the very most, they were loved and that’s the most important part. I’m glad to see you’re back. I’ve missed your videos and little piggies 🥰💗

I had a guinea pig with the same issue JoJo had. We tried to buck her up with the vet's recommendations of fruits and minced veggies, but she passed away the morning we were supposed to go to the vet. It really broke my heart. I just wanna say and sorry this is late normally I'm on top with KZbin, but I recently got a job so things have been everywhere, but I just want to say I'm very sorry that you lost JoJo and Dove. Dove was one I really liked too out of that clan that you got. So it's very sad to know she's not with us anymore. As for JoJo I didn't know that piggy very well as I'm new to this Channel, but I still want to say that it sucks to lose an animal. God I couldn't stop getting teary eyed through this video. Even writing this I still find myself fighting back tears. I have a very big heart when it comes to animals I'll cry for an animal passing even if I never knew that animal such as like this. Also I just wanted to say that those Crochet Piggies get me everytime. I Crochet myself and I did post them on my Instagram, but when I got a phone I deleted that account, because it was on my computer, so now I have to retake all the photos and repost the ones I made. I made all kinds of things. I made bunnies, fish, whales, plants, dogs, cats, chick, axolotl..etc. I have not yet got around to making a piggy yet. I really want to attempt making one, but sometimes if a video is bad I can't follow the pattern. I have to have a good enough video as I'm actually new to the terms. But I learned a lot in 3 months I started making these animals. I'm a fast learner so in no time I should be able to read a pattern and not need a video for it. But anyway enough me rambling, but those Crochet piggies are just...gosh their too cute. I just want to make one myself because your friend Veronica inspires me to try my hand at making one. As she's super talented. Like I...I don't know how she does it. Even though I been Crocheting too her work just still amazes me. Again I just want to say I'm sorry for all of your losses. I know it's hard I lost a rabbit, and a few fish in my life and it was hard on me. So I understand the pain of losing something such as a pet, a best friend feels like. And before I end this I am super glad that Ariel is doing super freaking well. She looks like she never came from such a bad home in the first place. Like she looks so good like if I never knew about Ariel's condition and I like met Ariel I wouldn't have known she was originally sick. Like it's amazing how well she's got I'm so happy for her recovery. For all of them actually and glad to know all those beautiful sweethearts all got saved. So interesting that in the US Meadow is a "treat" hay, as here in New Zealand its like the most fed hay to Guinea Pigs, Rabbits etc.. 😅

Hiya if u take the doors off of the cupboard and put a small curtain on it instead..voil panel or net even..u can hang it with either net curtain wire /hooks or a small rod ..so sorry for ur loss 😥

I'm so sorry you lost Dove and JoJo. My heart goes out to you My girl I adopted in September has cancer. She is the sweetest skinny pig but her tumour is affecting her mobility now. I am struggling so much with what I know I have to do. I am taking her to the vet this week so she can be at peace. I think she is only 2 or 3. It really is unfair when they are so young. I will br adopting from a rescue to bond with her sister. Does anyone have any advice how long to leave before introduction of a new piggy?

I took the sea grass mats or timothy mats and I actually binder clipped it to the grids so it's standing up, and my pigs used it as a chew toy and devoured it within 2 days of putting it up. So just an idea for you if you wanted to,

I literally came across your video because I am exploring adopting a new addition to the household - mainly exploring the little creatures because we cannot ethnically house a bigger animal with our given space. Watched a bunch of your videos and was so grateful to see that such kind people take care of small animals like you. Animals, big or small, have a life that deserves love, and they give back so much love. I was so touched by your kindness, the kindness of your present givers, and how adorable your piggies are. I was bawling... (given I'm usually a softie, this is normal). Thank you for showing how to truly care and how to ethnically care and treat animals. Your piggie room is fantastic, and I cannot wait to see more of you and your piggies! Please keep up the amazingness, but always take care of yourself. Breaks are needed at times. Condolences about Jojo.

I just randomly had your videos pop up in my KZbin feed...I'm so excited over it. I had two guinea pigs as a kid, which ended up being pregnant from the pet store 🤦‍♀️. We kept them all and ended up with 10. Looking back now, I realize we made a lot of mistakes but they definitely had a lot of love. I hope one day in the future to get two or three piggies. I'm fascinated with your set up. I'm bringing your videos to see what all you do! Your cage grid system is genius! ❤️🐷
