I just wanted to let you know, that if you are having problems with your under layer being reactivated when using gouache, then its likely bc you are adding a thin layer on top of a thick layer. So I recommend just making your layers get thicker near the end of the painting if you are going for a clean look- I know you are still experimenting, so you may or may not know this, but I look forward to seeing your video showing if they change in the sunlight!

Gouache is my new favorite medium to illustrate in. I haven't tried this brand yet. I will though. I often use the Winsor/Newton brand(cause I like to pretend I'm rich n fancy when that's far from reality...lol).

@@Zaccura Ahh, then your left hand has short nails. I like being able to look at someone's hands and know if they play guitar. I like my nails short for gardening and I like to stick my bare hands into the dirt. They grow so fast I'm always filing them down

I’ve been watching lots of videos on gouache today because I’ve now got it in my lovely hyper-focused brain that I want to get a set of this. I don’t have an ounce of artistic ability in my body but man I just want to create something so bad. This was my favorite video on this set so far!! I love the way you explained your thoughts, it was super cute, and I absolutely love that you painted an actual something in real time as opposed to just showing off swatches or something unrealistic. 10/10 thank you :D Definitely gotta get my paws on a set and play around! 🎨💕

I like this set because it seems to have colors closer to skin colors pre mixed, and it has a WHITE mixing pallette, brushes, and the lid seals better. It only has one white not like the set of 18, but easy enough to buy a tube of white when you need one. If I get one it'll probably be this set, or maybe real qouache in tubes

I use Gouache like 4-5 Months . Its really good to draw with ! I like the colors, they are very bright. Love the painting of yours ! Tipp : Often is the colour you want a little lighter then it’s dry so it’s really hard . ✨👌 ( I use the brand : Arrtx)

Have you tried camel premium poster colours ( they are similar to gouache), they are quite inexpensive and good quality.

Tip~If the gouache dries you can spray water to reactivate them and they will be back into jelly consistancy!

I saw that you use Posca pens, and when I was on Amazon I saw somthing that seemed like Posca Pen rips offs but people seem to like them. They were called Graffiti markers and you should totally try them out

Also the big set only comes with 1 white instead of 2 like the smaller set. Which sucks because you need a lot of white to lighten the colors.
